Don't worry. I'm Taiwanese and I met this friend at summer camp and she asked "Do you know kpop?". I said "yes, I do. What made you ask me that?". She responded to me with the worst answer. "Because your korean". I wanted to call her a bitch, I got so angry. I could tell she was a koreaboo from the start because she kept calling this guy older than her "oppa". I think it's totally fine to be interested in a different culture and language, specifically an Asian language. It does not make you a koreaboo or a weaboo or anything other than a normal human being. The only things people do that I find very annoying and koreaboo/weaboo like is to try and look Asian, pretend like you actually are Asian (I've seen a few of those comments on here), and only learn a few phrases or words in the language and call yourself fluent. Learning K-pop or J-pop dances, learning the language, and learning the culture is completely normal. I myself am not Asian but I'm currently learning Korean and I hope to move to Korea one day. There's nothing wrong with it. And I do understand that many people "worship" Asians but some people are just amazed by the culture and all that but there are some who just do it because of idols or whatever.

I don’t see anything wrong singing to kpop music or dancing to it. What I find to extreme is calling yourself “Asian” when your not. I like doing there makeup but I don’t go so extreme where I try to be someone I’m not. Like I like watching Asian makeup trends and other country makeup trends and using them(sometimes) bUt, I don’t go so extreme where I pluck my eyebrows straight and add a lighter shade of skin tone or doing my eyeliner the way they do it. Like I don’t see anything wrong cosplaying but, saying that your this character in real life is just dumb. That’s is just an example. Like sometimes I will do a Korean makeup look but I don’t try so hard to make myself look Korean. I love who I am I don’t need to change my look because of k-pop idols. Also I hate when people use “oppa” or “eomma” to people who don’t speak Korean. I was walking and I saw a group of Korean boos, with there American moms and the girls where like “엄마, 한국 음식이 필요해.” Which means, “mom, I want Korean food”. The mom was like “what you say”? The group of Korean boos where mad at there moms because they DIDN’T underSTAND what they were saying, I mean I thought that the moms will understand cause they were speaking Korean. The moms had a cringy face on. Then the Korean boos where starring at me jumping. In my head “I was like omg nOt again” there like can I have a picture, YOUR KOREAN RIGHT?! OK SO about the whole language thing, i think it's fine to mix words if you are actually learning the language. I know for every foreign language I've learned, it just happens naturally - words slip in without me noticing, and it can help with remembering the words. The problem is when you only know chinccha, oppa, and saranghae and regularly use them in place of your regular words. here’s my “i don’t think i’m a kboo but...” 1) i’m learning korean but i’m also learning spanish, french, german, and chinese. 2) i want to eat their food bc i love noodles and i heard korean food is more nutritious and tastes better. you know i’m tryna eat healthier. 3) i’m attracted to anyone who gives me attention but i would also choose an asian out of a group of people because, if they are raised more based on their culture, they are usually more respectful and have good morals. these americans are raised thinking it’s ok to yell at their mama 4) i wanna go to korea bc i watched that korean 7/11 video so i really want strawberry cheesecake milk and meat on a stick 5) their fashion is cute but i mostly like how the guys dress only. the girls dress too cutesy and girly. also i like how they wear masks in public. i could have one of them doctors masks on and hide my face when i show up to mcdonald’s at 11pm in my pajamas, no one would know who i was
