Summer of 2012 I flew Korean Air B777-200 Dallas to Seoul and then Seoul to Beijing! Was the best feeling I've ever had flying. Service was amzaing and Korean Air is the best in the sky. Glad you got fly with them. It was also a dream to come true for me to fly with them. Dreams do come true. Can't wait to fly with them.

Wow. Thanks for that!!! Really brought back memories of my nearly 2 years in Korea in the late 1980s when Gimpo (Kimpo then) was the ONLY airport in Seoul. The terminal you left out of opened when I was there. I want to go back!!!!!!

Excellent video, as always. I can share your amazement at Korean Air flying 747 on such short flight. I was very surprised when i boarded 747 from Phuket to Bangkok one time. Yeah, i cannot say anything bad about Korean Air. Their food is amazing :)

Love your video; love the aircraft too. Korean does justice to the cabin interior. What's more, the carrier has ordered 10 747-8s according to wikipedia, so we'll be seeing more of the baby blue coloured jets for some time yet!

I love your videos, or what I hear from them. It's been a long time since I flew in a 747. I wish your vids were longer, though, and I miss all your wonderful descriptions of the food and the flight reports. Could you please do this for future videos? They don't need much music like some of your past videos, but I love hearing about the inflight weather, altitude, temperature outside and the sound of the airplanes. Thank you so much.

Amazing, Gavin!! It would be cool to be onboard a 747! I would like to be on one! I'm even more amazed that just like Japan, they use 747's for short haul routes! I loved that cabin walk-through experience at 2:04! The first or if that's business class seats are amazing! Wow! That is a pretty think duty-free book! Wow! It only took 52 minutes!? That's like our interisland flights over here!

KE has always operated B773s to SIN on a regular basis. I believe you must have taken the B744 during the december school vacation right? KE upgauged their aircraft usually during that time to cater to the hordes of Singaporean tourists heading to Korea for their winter holiday!

i feel the same way too! Thank you for supporting me :)

So KE also uses the B747-400 often for domestic flights? Same here. Philippine Airline uses the B747-400 for flights to Cebu for one hour and Davao for 1:45

Thanks for introducing Jeju to me...never heard of ( and I travel and read a lot)! 2 questions: - are you still studying in Khazakistan? Gimpo is a domestic airport in Seoul, doesn't it? (very modest for South Korean standards)
@FlightTravels11 жыл бұрын
indeed a B744 on an one hour flight is not common but I guess it might be a peak season for travelling to Jeju and the traffic demand is there!

Hi Mario, I felt eating out in restaurants isn't so expensive in Korea (slightly cheaper than restaurants in Singapore), and definately, Korea will be less expensive than Japan. Subway is not expensive too, about USD1 for a single ride for short distances. Thank you always, for watching my videos!

hey gavin, great video! have you ever flew with asiana airlines? I would really recommend them! I flew with them last year from London heathrow to Incheon airport (near seoul) and from seoul to manila. (and back again) the service was almost as good as emirates airlines! I was just wondering though if you have ever sat on the top deck of a b747? (b747 is my favourite aircraft as well as the airbus a380!)

A380 is the BESTTTT for Korean Air. I'm more of an Asiana Airlines person but Korean Air is still awesome. Muchhh better serice and flight attendants (including appearance) then any airlines around the world. Both Korean and Asiana

Yes, the announcements were very, very soft (had to max out the volume of the clip but its still too soft >_< ) I don't know why. Can't hear anything during the safety demo too, and forget about the Captain's address to the passengers on the flight details. Inaudible at all! Quite sad actually, because I do love hearing inflight announcements. Anyway, thank you, very much for watching, glad you enjoyed it!

HEYS! thanks so much for dropping by. That's a very sensitive question you are asking! I'll let you be the judge for this tricky question :p I guess there are alot of domestic Korean tourists to Jeju to justify utilising the B744 (I believe 6 flights per day on the B744 during this period!).

i agree, considering how the flight was almost full in Economy, maybe the plane didn't carry much fuel since it was just a domestic flight which allowed a quick lift-off!

yes apparently, anything from an B737 to a B747 is deployed on the domestic trunk route between Seoul and Jeju.
