Wow! Thank you for your video. I would have never thought a A380 would be 2-2-2. You just saved me a hastily purchased HKT-LAX in December. Korean Air is off my list for biz travel. Well done bud.

Korean Air also flies 747-8 with lie flat seats in Prestige Class. The seats are staggered and you actually have direct access to the aisle from the window. What plane are they using for their HKT-LAX route?

If you have a credit card with rewards that will transfer to Korean Air’s Skypass, you should be able to use the miles to upgrade. However…June is peak season when many are traveling so it could be more difficult.

@@suepacman no not really. I prefer the last row since it’s close to the bar area and I can walk around to stretch out. Also it rarely fills up due to the proximity of the bathrooms and chances of having a neighbor is lower.

@@suepacman I’ve seen parents walk around with their infants in the back area. It shouldn’t be an issue. I’ve also witnessed flight attendant holding the passengers baby while the passenger went to use the bathroom. They seem very accommodating in my experience.

Agreed.Korean Air flies B747-8 from JFK to ICN which gives each Prestige Class seats direct access to the aisle. I much prefer that plane.

That blows away my hoped bucket list luxury 180° lie flat booking on this airline's A380 flights. That configuration is ghastly WTF! Not worth it at any price. Except! If a reward booking reveals the some seats without someone else next to me.

Agreed. I redeemed my miles for this flight. The seating configuration is really not ideal unless you’re sitting next to friend or family.

Korean air its over rated airline I dont think they are 5star their 380 cabin is very outdated still till today they dont have 1-2-1 the catering presentation its really poor Asiana its much better but the sad thing is they are going to merge with Korean so no more Asiana :(

I prefer their 747-8 Prestige Class seating layout over their A380 since you get direct aisle access from the window. Also I feel like the Prestige class seats are wider in 747-8 than in the A380

After the merger Korean Air will have no competition, so there is the fear their product might deteriorate since no other Korean airline will offer any competition. I am surprised this merger was approved by the Korean government

I am beyond stunned that Prestige Class on an A380 has zero privacy!!!! Those are like Business Class on a 727 or A330. That's embarrassing.

Honestly, the A380 seating layout in Prestige Class is not ideal. Korean Air flies Boeing 747-8 and the Prestige Class in those planes give you much more privacy. Seats are staggered so you can have easy access to the aisle even from the window seat.

@@KeeDoVlogs Yes, very aware of the seating on other planes. I'm heading SFO-ICN-MNL in a few months on a KAL 777 and know the seating in Business is staggered. I'd say it's due to the age of their 380 fleet. Thank God they aren't using 380's out of SFO.

Are you sure about that because in some cases you will get the newer Rockwell Collins Serenity suites prestige class apex seats. Easy example for the comparison between the two are KE086 with KE621 JFK-MNL via ICN vs PR127 JFK-MNL.
