Very professional and Soyeon knows exactly what she wants. I loved how natural they looked and the serious nature of their approach. It was fun to gain a small glimpse into their artistry. Except for one really sad realization. For some reason I kept calling the headphones ...earphones. Sorry about that.

Yeah, Soyeon has a complete guide ready for recording. She even tries to mimic her members voice tones when singing the guide. She is just a creative genius really. And funny that you said that Minnie would be a good soloist. The fandom is waiting for that to happen since ages. She is not only a great vocalist, she can rap, she has great stace presence and even her dancing has leveled up so much. And she is producing and writing songs herself.

Agree . Minne and Yuqi are also producers, and they are also produced music,made demo, in charge of recording like Soyeon. Soyeon is not only a producer, but also responsible for MV planning, etc., but the company does not pay more salary. Regarding the content of MV planning, sometimes they will give Soyeon their own suggestions. So the three of them sometimes quarrel over differences, but they have a clear distinction between public and private, and their private relationship is very good.

GDragon and Soyeon are doing identical things - executive director of all songs, concepts, MV, and marketing. They were never competing with other idols but the concept directors and producers of other agencies.

An American media program interviewed them, and the interview video can be found on YT, but unfortunately I forgot which program it was. The members revealed the recording styles of Soyeon, Minnie, and Yu qi. Shu Hua said that it is easier to record Minnie's songs, and Minnie will tell the members that it is more important to sing comfortably, and she is the most patient when guiding. Shu Hua said that when recording Yuqi's songs, Yuqi had relatively high requirements for her. If she is not satisfied after several recordings, she will let me go back first and come back tomorrow. The host asked Shu Hua, how do you feel about Soyeon, and Shu Hua said that Soyeon was fine and not as strict as Yuqi.... They also talk about otherthings that I can't remenber clearly. After seeing the video of Soyeon's recording process, many fans hope that theCUBE will also record the video of Minne and Yuqi 's One .

Your understanding of the Korean language really gives good insight into what is happening that we (English speaking fans) don't know. The "recoding behind" for the song "Nxde" is a bit better than this one because Soyeon attends to each singer in a more personal way that is attuned to the way each member learns. It would be great if you could react to that one also.

Thank you for reacting to (G)I-DLE again! I think the "Nxde" recording showcases Soyeon's skills as a producer and vocal director better than this one! I hope you could react to that as well (but of course, watch the Nxde MV first--it's an incredibly well-made MV with lots of space for commentary!)

Soyeon gets the songwriting and producing copyright credits and sometimes arranging credits for her songs... so, in a way, she gets paid more that way. The public is not privy to contracts between the members and CUBE other than we know that, generally, first year contracts last for 7 years. We believe that the girls have around 1 year left on their contracts with CUBE. Soyeon has also appeared as a mentor on survival/talent shows for aspiring idols (both boys and girls) and has proven adept at identifying and developing emerging talent. Fans hope that Soyeon might be ready to start her own entertainment company after contracts expire. I would think that skilled candidates who want to become idols, create music, and have some control over their own careers would flock to a Soyeon run company. Also, Minnie's family is quite wealthy and has a close relationship with all of the girls. Even without help from Minnie's family I think that investors would be keen on owning a portion of a company that is run by a proven success and hard working Soyeon. Short of starting a new company... Most fans feel that it is time for the group to escape from CUBE entertainment. Personally, I'm split on how I feel about CUBE. They were slow to fully back Soyeon and her ideas over the years, but for the past 2 years have been fully supportive. I think that a sub-company formed with CUBE could also be successful.

Soyeon actually revealed that cube doesn't pay her anything additional for being an executive producer unfortunately :( she does collect the royalty fees from her songs of course, but nothing extra from cube. This is cause if you watch their Idol Human Theater episode on youtube (I highly recommend this if you want to get to know them more by their personalities, you get to see their most unique quirks), cube can't even pay for good WIFI, a working AC, new furniture, etc.

No voy a defender a Shuhua (Bah, si, la banco por sus imperfecciones), pero en Argentina, país lleno de varias oleadas de inmigrantes, tenés gente que vino de otros países y estuvo casi toda su vida y jamás terminan de hablar bien en castellano. Algunos como Minnie y YuQi, que de por sí son prodigios en todo lo que hacen, tienen facilidad para aprender, de hecho, Minnie canto una versión de "Recuérdame" de Coco y lo hizo muy muy muy bien, siendo contemplativo, logró una pronunciación casi perfecta, siendo ya muy estricto, nivel coreano con su idioma, todavía le faltaría pulir algunas cosas... Pero eso pasa con todo. Hay un vídeo de las chicas cantando en portugués y ahí la que destacó sin lugar a dudas fue Soojin, la que le pegó bastante bien a la pronunciación... Seguida por Minnie, obvio, jajajaja. Lo genial de Soyeon es ver cómo entiende a sus compañeras y sabe qué parte darles y como explotar el potencial de cada una.

I'm curious... you were able to tell that Shuhua is not a native speaker of Korean since she is Taiwanese. Yuqi is often praised by Korean interviewers for her pronunciation even though she is Chinese and has only been in Korea since (approximately) 7-8 years ago. Did you notice that she is not a native Korean speaker? For Minnie, I have heard that she speaks Korean with a "cute lisp?" Is that so?

They are very good Korean speakers but there are little signs that give it away. Certain pronunciation is just very difficult for a foreign person. There are very few, who you can not tell at all.

Yuqi and Minne pass Lv6 Korean Language. Because Yuqi has made a lot of Korean friends, and she even knows the local Korean language. Yuqi had been served as the host of some Korean variety shows , Korean people even think they are Koreans if you don't tell them they are foreigners .
