You’d be surprised by how many Korean restaurants there are in Thailand! I’d bet we have the second most KBBQ places after Korea itself, with options at every price point 😂. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands of them. For pork-only options, if you go for a buffet priced around 299 or 399 baht, most places won’t have beef unless it’s a moo krata or a street-side spot. If you’re looking for beef, it usually starts at 499 baht. And if you have time, I’d also recommend trying a Yakiniku spot here in Bangkok-we have a ton of those too. As for value, it’s tough to compare with moo krata or Thai food since foreign cuisines are always a bit pricier. But you’re paying for that “exotic” experience 🤣. Actually, 299 baht for an AYCE KBBQ is considered a super super great deal here, and places with that price tag are always popular. If you’re curious, try Kosirae at Thong Lor for 329 baht (it used to be 299). It was a huge hit back in the day and still has cult following. Sometimes I feel really lucky living in a city with so many AYCE BBQ options-Yakiniku, Moo Krata, KBBQ, and even shabu shabu 😋. Never get bored!

Just want to share a tip: when eating a plate with a variety of fruits, I’d recommend starting with the bland ones, followed by the sour ones, and finishing with the sweet ones. If the order is wrong, the bland ones will taste like nothing, and the sour ones will feel super sour. (In your case, dragon fruit first and then finish with the watermelon.)

Will do and Thanks for the tip! 😃

Yeah, that buffet has a little bit of work. But they are new, so maybe they can improve by customer comments. But I would be eating the pork belly like crazy. 😂
@ChovyTravelАй бұрын
Right!? Hopefully, they do make some adjustments. That would definitely help and uplift the Buffet. Definitely, the pork belly was 🔥😃

Thanks for the review! Not being familiar with Korean food, a buffet is a great way to dip your toe in. (Hopefully not literally? 😂) With you having scored a couple of things 10 out of 10, this might be a good place to start. Go heavy on the "10s," then dabble with the rest! 😂 (Also perhaps good enough reason for y'all to go back, as well. You scored enough things highly enough to make a great meal for yourselves! Nevermind the disaapointments; focus on a full meal of 9-10/10 successes!) I do wonder though: There were a few things you were not impressed with. You've lived in Korea and seem to at least have Korean roots (so maybe korean home cooking?), you have preconceived ideas about how these things are "supposed" to be. So I have this question: When something seemed "off" or "not right," was it because it truly didn't taste good? Or did you have that reaction only because it was not what you expected--not what you are used to? (Just had Massaman Curry for lunch, today, that was quite different from what I had expected. So I had to shift gears in my head and ask myself, "Yeah, but do I like it, ANYWAY?" After my initial disappointment, I had to admit, "Yeah, this is really tasty!" 😂) (The point being, if it did not seem "right" or "authentic" to you, but still tasted good....... it may still provide full enjoyment to someone who [like me] doesn't know the difference. If it tastes good or great, anyway, even though it fails the "authenticity" test....... that would be something worth knowing! 😂) Lastly: Beef. With my undoubtedly warped view of Korean cuisine from watching too many excellent Korean Dramas - 😂 - it seems that BEEF is an expensive and unexpected surprise. In the dramas, anyway, it is celebrated as a special reward for doing something good or or doing something well. Its never shown as "just another item on a buffet." (As I said, my view on this may be totally warped! 😂 ) Thailand is not a beef culture, so if they assume most of their customer will be Thai, Thai people would not be impressed by the beef, anyway. And if it was there, they'd almost certainly cook it to death, trying to get rid of the pink, like they must do with chicken and pork. They simply have no clue that beef doesn't have the "pink" health risks that pink chicken and pork have! It's not a beef culture! 😂 A little pink in your beef tastes much better and remains healthy...... but Thai's will cook it into shoe leather! 😂 Cheers!
@ChovyTravelАй бұрын
Absolutely our pleasure! In the event we were to go back, we would definitely stick to the Spicy Pork and the Marinated Fried Chicken 😃 For the non-authentic dishes, we felt they were just okay/edible. Meaning, I wouldn’t eat them again/did not enjoy them. This was based on the texture/how it was cooked and temperature of the food that was a turn off. Hope this answers your questions 😅 Very True! We will have to check out other buffets for sure that do have beef 😃.

1:27 What you said in Thai: "One please" What you meant: "One each please" A typical Thai person cannot understand the English phrase "one each" You should say "Aow An La Neung / 아오 안라능", which is "one each please"
