Here in Spain is natural to start dating a close friend or just a friend if that person has the same feelings as you. I think being friends before dating is good, that way you have a partner and a friend who you actually know. This doesn't mean you can't have friends, it's just that sometimes if you are single o you've been in love with your friend for so long and feel like there could be feelings between the both of you, then it's better to risk it all and start dating, at least you know who you are dating and not a stranger you just met. Of course this doesn't mean that how the people in the video do it is the correct way of doing it lol

Cultural differences is crazy. I really think it's weird to not be friend 1rst when you meet someone. How do you call someone who you share moment, share opinion, feelings, spend time with her and talk everyday but never kissed ?🤔 For me it's like be couple > parents > grandparents . You can't be grandparents before to be parents, we have to follow some steps.

Its not really about being friends or not its more of a labeling thing. People still get to know each other and learn about each other in the process, but with a relationship in mind, certain cultures don't label that as a friend, rather as a potential partner. In korea they have a word for that type of relationship called "some". They also mentioned it briefly in the video

I would say the dating culture is very different between Korean and the United States specifically. It’s very normal to both have friends who you’re physically intimate with (not sexually) but are just friends and become friends with someone you’re interested in to start dating. Most of my relationships started with someone I was friends with first.

Definitely a cultural difference. it's not weird to be friends with someone then have feelings later on. you have a friend and a partner at that point. i'd rather do that than be with a stranger I know nothing about. It's pretty normal here (U.S.) to see stuff like this where one person makes a move finally on a friend because they have feelings for them. Either they feel the same or they don't lol I thought it was funny to hear you guys say it was made up lol Some of them might be, but this is normal to me. Something else I wanted to say was male and female friends do things like laying in bed or holding each other. Woow the cultural differences In latinanamerica we hugged friends very close I remember going to their houses when we were teenagers, and just hanging by ourselves Dancing, singing Also going to pools alone I went on a trip to Peru as backpacker with my bf who is a guy (I am a woman) and we slept in the same bedroom One night we had to sleep in the same bed. @Hoseung actually when I was 15, I met a guy and neither of us was interested in each other. We were good friends for one year (going to lunch together everyday at school with our group of friends). Then when I was 16 he was there for me when I needed him & after that we started having feelings for each other and went out for 5 months. Also in Europe it is ok to hang out with your friends by the pool so not a big deal to sit on your friend's lap even if he does not have his Tee shirt on...

Hoseung's so angry 🤣 I find it preferable to be friends, or at least on friendly terms to where I know someone a bit before dating them. For one it's more comfortable, and for two it gives me an idea of how compatible I'd think we are far more quickly than someone I just met. For three if we were to go out I can be more assured that they aren't actually an axe murderer or something lol There is definitely a bit of a cultural difference when it comes to boundary lines with Friends. I have certainly witnessed and know of people that are titled friends but way more touchy than seems appropriate IMO. A closeness that you would normally expect from a dating couple. then there are those that are bedroom buddies but always refer to themselves as just being friends. Nonsensical to me. Because of these things the clips are more possible than Heejae and Hoseung think. But always take Tik Tok with a grain of sand lol

I think is the "approach" are you approaching JUST to stay friends with no attraction AT all! then it would stay that way, only a tiny fraction progresses. but if you meet and you think "he/she is kind of cute" you are NOT friends. It's fine to approach with interest, start as "friends" trying to get to know each other but you're not actually friends. I think we've just blurred the line between friendship - dating - relationship. In the mix is hookup culture.
