If lanzones is sour, it might need some ripening because it is eaten sweet or there are sweet varieties. You eat the flesh and spit out the seed because the seed tastes bitter and sometimes big. If you get tired of removing the ants with your hands or blow them away with your mouth, just eat them together with the fruit. lol. They're protein anyway. Try our chico or sugar plum. Try also our starapple. Starapple mixed with milk and sugar with cold water and ice is one tasty treat. Try our watermelon (orange variety and not the red one in south korea.) You shred the melon and mixed it with cold water and sugar and it's a good cold drink. Put milk, if you like. Jackfruit and guyabano are also delicious. Our turon has ripe jackfruit paired with banana of the saba variety.

We have lots of lanzones trees at our backyard they are so sweet but there are also sour variant. Just dont bite the seed because it taste is so bitter. Fun Trivia: If you put sugar in blue colored Gatorade that is close to the flavor of lanzones.

That is lanzones rounded yellowish skin..about our banana they are so many kind of variety..we have the table banana just like you eaten that is lakatan and also señorita a smallest table banana and for the export we called it here in Mindanao the stanfilco/dole..about the cooked banana we have saba it is usually used in turon and also a bigger one the size may reach up to 14-16 inches long..and many more..

When I buy lanzones, I always choose the small ones because it barely has seeds in it. For ripe mango, I advice not to eat it everyday because I believe it has so much sugar.

Ants are normal in Lanzones fruits, they're 1 reason to make the fruit sweet. The fruit is sweet but don't bite the seeds inside, because it taste bitter. I was fascinated of Koreans and Japanese visiting the Philippines because it's like a breath of fresh air to them about our nature, beaches, fruits and foods. In their country really fruits, tourist spots and some foods are really that expensive, especially those commodities that are not found in their country or only few.

It is lanzones, the Vietnamese and Chinese here in Canada sometimes call it "Langsat" and it sells for $12/ kilo, those ones that you got are huge, you should try Chico fruit as well. I miss Philippine fruit , cannot afford the imported ones here, even one papaya is $6 , they are often picked green and never ripen properly.

Avocados, pineapples, many types of bananas, sweet potatoes, casava, water melons, coconut juice and so many many more to put on a list to do, both healthy and tasty. For lanzones, it's better to keep them on a stem (and buy them like that) rather than pick them out so it'll last a bit longer. If you pick them out of the stem, they turn brown or have brown spots the next day.

Somewhat a simple hack tip: You can took the image of an object using the camera of your android device and search using google lens (search by image instead of word) and by doing so you can know the name of the object (in your case the fruit called lanzones). Not a 100% correct but for common objects it works 👍
