I suspected so with the sudden increase in interest for Korean cards. I didn’t realize how much the education was lacking until I heard from your channel that people didn’t know the actual retail price of Japanese booster boxes. Before I left Korea a week ago, while at card pop in incheon, they told me that S1-S8 will not be printed anymore. Eevee heroes is going to start to get expensive!

I enjoy opening Korean Pokémon cards. Same card art at an affordable price. Don't really care if I can't read the language. Don't want it to get ruined by scalpers and investors buying up all the products and causing prices to rise.

I havent purchased Korean cards since Shining Legends but if the quality has improved I might have to try and pick some up but it probably won't be long until they go up in price too which is a shame

It's wild to me that people can't tell the difference between written Japanese and written Korean. Re Korean card quality: It seems to be improving. My son and I got our first packs of Korean Scarlet ex and Violet ex yesterday. So far the holo foils seem much less prone to curling than in the Sword and Shield era. Have you noticed this as well?

I’m glad you see the improvements too. Haven’t seen much curving / warping much in my cards either! But then again it’s springtime here in NY - the warping is more likely to happen in the summer when it’s more humid.

I don't remember where I saw it, maybe it was in Jluv's videos where a lady was commenting about the rise in prices was attributed to the Japanese Collecting culture in Japan itself and not entirely about scalpers selling to overseas box breakers. I still think we're good for at least some time on the Korean cards because card collecting hasn't gone absurd yet for Korean cards. I don't live in Korea personally, but that's what I'm hearing around the weeds. Sidebar, I live in SEA, so it's surprisingly easy to get a hookup for everything near retail except Japanese and Chinese cards. Thai/Indo cards are so pretty and they're still cheap. Practically my only way to pull Tag Team GX now with Japanese card stock now.

so in one week there comes out the pokemon 151 korean sealed booster box and i can see on EU Market that stores are selling them over 50 euros less then japan version. 100 euro for korea version 150 for japanese. You think, thats a good deal?

I’m gonna give a shout-out to the cardconomist he has Korean stuff and he always mentions it and sells it for super cheap which is awesome and he is one of my favorite break streamers ever thanks for the video I hope that everyone lays off the evolving skies/ Eevee heroes set it’s just ridiculous at this point

@@KrystalKollectz I personally watched all of those lives and I kinda hate to defend him but I did hear him say they were Korean from the start and labeled that way to buy from his website. So there wasn't that much to misunderstand. Kinda of a dick move for sure being that he's the rich boy that definitely could afford to get Japanese product like all the other breakers do. Really just a move to maximize profit that most people also knew and saw right through. But regardless dude still gonna have a large following of gullible kids. Interesting to see that many people are shifting to Korean rather than sticking with either English or Japanese. But i have to wonder however, why those people went for Korean cards when there are Chinese, Thai and Indonesian cards which is printed in Japan? (which should have card quality that is close or on-par with Japanese cards) I mean in my opinion those who used to buy English cards should probably go to Indonesian cards since they could at least 35% of the words in the cards. But then again, i have a bias towards Indonesian cards since i collect them and it's possible that there aren't many people who import packs in the last 3 languages i mentioned.

You make a good point. In my opinion it’s most likely because Korean cards are arguably more affordable at retail price than the three other languages you mentioned (especially after Indonesian booster boxes changed with Star Birth and on).

Thank you! Simplified Chinese products are great since the cards will have the Japanese quality. However importing the products from mainland China can be very expensive with international shipping so please keep that in mind too.

Having opened plenty of Korean and Japanese. They feel and look about the same. Better than English at least. I’m consistently disappointed by English quality.

it's important to remember that Korean Pokemon cards are still very different compared to Japanese. Korean Cards are printed exclusively within South Korea and Japanese cards are printed within Japan.

Just compared 3 different v maxes. Korean and English are comparable, Korean being slightly better with QC, but saturation and whatnot seem very similar. Japanese seems to have darker colors. All cards feel about the same. English feeling slightly thicker than Korean and Japanese but hardly noticeable. I guess my point is, Korean is a fantastic option. Doesn’t deserve the hate it receives. Not saying you have hated on it, just what I’ve noticed within the community.
