South Korean President Moon Jae-in and First Lady were seen leaving Korean Mission Counsulat at the UN after meeting with famous Boy Band BTS. President swiftly went into the car parked out front.
BTS exited soon after, they spoke at the UN General Assembly earlier in the day.

As far as I know, taking photos inside the embassy or consulate building premises anywhere in the world is not allowed for the sake of the diplomats and personnel securities. Unless you have a permit from the respective office.

Privacy is always a thing no matter the laws of a certain country. BTS are south korean men and not Americans, they don't have to accept any law in America but to follow it. Respect goes all ways. Paparazzis shouldn't invade their personal space no matter for the picture. You are despite the laws always entitled to your own body, which these paparazzis don't seem to care about. Treating them as trophies instead of human beings.

Apparently South Korea has different privacy laws in public spaces. In the US, there is no right to privacy in a public space i.e. Asidewalk in front of the UN.. Does this answer your question?

“What no photos?” “I don’t get it.” It’s called PRIVACY. They’re not there as idols but as special envoys. They’re not there to hold a concert nor shoot a drama. 🤦🏽‍♀️ One and last edit: They might be able to take photos in public but they’re violating BTS’ portrait rights/personality rights. Most if not all of these people are going to use BTS’ photos commercially whether be it for articles or whatever. As a person of interest, they have the right to say no. Just because it’s expected to happen doesn’t mean the body guards have to allow it. Plus the way paparazzis move changes everything from just taking pictures to being a threat to BTS’ safety. It’s not in this video but there’s another video where a paparazzi attacked V. That itself gives more rights to BTS’ security guards to forbid these paparazzis. “It’s normal in the U.S.” Literally no celebrity wants cameras on their faces when they’re not there to make a show. Hollywood stars hates it. Singers hates it. Actors and actresses hates it. No one likes paparazzis at all. You don’t want anyone taking photos of you without your consent. The heavy security is out of the members control & for what I hear is that “no photos are allowed in the premises for “political or diplomatic reasons” remember BTS is with Korea’s president so high strict security was more than expected. I think there are laws in Korea that protect the person getting their photo taken & that’s why it’s mandatory that their phones & cameras have the camera shutter sound when a photo is being taken, we don’t have that nor the laws here… Kinda wish we did sometimes…

I think Sasaengs can be quite a bit worse TBH… Sasaengs will hit their “Idols” just to be remembered. They’ll break into their workplace, home, etc. They’ll stalk them & get on the planes to be near them. Paparazzi are taking pics & don’t care if you don’t want them to or not. That’s the law in America. I’m not saying I like it, but the Paparazzi isn’t usually nearly as intrusive as a Sasaeng. Sasaeng in Korea would be called STALKERS in America. We have laws against Stalking.
