Pinga (to revolve around) is a traditional Marathi dance/game that is played by married women during a specific ocassion. It is a ladies only ceremony , kind of an opportunity for usually newly married women to catch up with their friends and have fun playing and dancing along with other rituals.

It's not Lavni. Lavni is mostly a romanticized dance form. This is "Pinga", the name of the song itself(here, it is fused with other dance steps). Pinga is a part of the Traditional dance form of Mangalagaur.

Pinga is the traditional mangalagaur song and played by ladies of all age in month of shrawan which is known to be (marathi )month of festivals. These mangalagaur is associated with the freedom of women from household chores and other stringent traditions in olden days .😊

No it's not laavni, though the traditional attire is the same( 9 yard saree) it's called pinga dance ,we Maharashtriya girls enjoy this kinda get together at the time of ganesh chaturthi at the porch/ backyard of our house. And laavni is performed by folk artists in tamasha( folk dance theater)
