I putting together an order for Korean skincare and realized that Korean is the new Drugstore! So, to get my order up to free shipping, I have also been been working on finding the Korean subs for my regular US drugstore products. Like, facewash (which has been Vanicream, Cetaphil, or CeraVe) body lotion (Gold Bond, Neutrogena, or Aveeno), straight hyaluronic acid (L'Oreal)...etc. You know, you should do a video on that to switch stuff up. I, personally, adore you and watch every video you make but if you wanted a slightly different direction, that would be helpful. I am basically an acne prone 65 year old pensioner with very little money to spare. Getting up to a $100 order would be easy if I can throw all my drugstore personal care products into it!

Love the numbuzin no.5 (concentrated serum and pads…just bought that no.1 powder with a new serum the just launched! ❤) I am thrilled with the results on with the VT reedle shot 100! Results from my skincare would work in like a month, now it takes a week! (the most impressive results I have been getting with the ordinary’s milky toner. It used to mildly exfoliate, mostly hydrate…but now with the vt reedle, I have to use it as a pre-wash treatment it works so well! 😮) Just purchased the vitamin C reedle shot and the PDRN serum as well as the vt reedle shot 300 to use as a spot treatment on stubborn post acne redness 1-2x per week…will update my progress if anyone whatsoever is interested in the VT reedle shot! 🤗

I love the toner / essences category and I can’t help buying and trying all the viral ones! In my 20s I was a lazy girl and all I used was Sk2 essences. No cleanser, no moisturiser, no sunscreen. Just that one product! For a few years that was me. And only very recently (in the last year) I started doing all the other steps. lol.hope it isn’t too late for me! I’m 43 now! 😂

I sometimes feel that western skincare is too agressive on the skin hence the problems people end up developing. Whereas the Korean skincare adapts a more softly softly be consistent approach that gives the benefits over time. As consumers we have become impatient for the instant fix from products thats neither possible nor beneficial to the skin...least thats my opinion and Im sticking to it lol. My favourite products are the Cellmazing moisturizer and eye cream from Torriden. I also absolutely love the ampoule serum from Mediheel that you recommended some months back. The brand as a whole has some outstanding products! Also enjoying the EGF serum from Coxir which Ive been using for months now ever since someone on here recommended it...cant remember who you were but thank you! I love several korean brands, Skin1004, Numbuzin, Mary&May, Aromatica, Urang, K Secret, but the best life-saving serum for my sensitive and often suffering skin barrier is MA:NYO Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule, with ferment lysate, centella, Copper peptide, Argireline.. it soothes, moisturizes and replenishes wonderfully!. My holy grail is absolutely Torriden cellmazing firming cream. On my second tube with a third ready for when I need it. The whole application is a sensory dream and the results are there. ❤. I’m also currently enjoying Sungboon Editor Green Tomato Pore Lifting Ampule - my skin looks brighter, healthier and hydrated. My pores are also less visible after only 3 weeks usage. Nice to apply also which is really important to me.

Somehow I'm very consistent with the "Care:nel derma Alpha arbutin glutathione withening cream", it's light, hydrating and perfect underneath sunscreen in the morning. I like the fact that it doesn't add greasiness on my oily skin 😅

I bought Mary & May and it’s the best eye cream I have used to date 🙏. I would love it if you would discuss an active once a week to describe it in detail, eg glutathione- what is it made of, what it is predominantly used for etc. Anyway, just a thought. ❤

One of my favourite Korean skincare brands is Torriden too 😁 I've only tried their solid-in line and it's amazing!! The ceramide essence has calmed down my redness more than 99% of other products. The ceramide cream is lovely too and has such a nice texture. I'm interested in trying the balanceful and cellmazing lines too, the dive-in line is the only one that doesn't really interest me

My faves are the Iunik Beta Glucan Power Moisture Serum as it has neither Niacinamide nor HA, it absorbs into my skin super fast. I feel like Iunik is a hugely underrated brand, I think their Centrlla Calming Gel Cream is great, their Centella Sunscreen is cheaper and better than anything else. Favourite Retinol for nights when I don't do Adapalene is the Retinol Intense Serum from Some by Mi - the eye cream in this line is also excellent.

I'll open a new one when it gets more autumney here (I type as it rains with 13°C 😂). Still a bit sceptical about the peptide content with some of the products you mentioned... Im a massive fan of the Ksecret Retinol patches theyre brilliant i also enjoy the Mary & May Tranexamic eye cream definitely helped to brighten my undereye ... i adore the Skin1004 Centella serum but i use the Tone Brightening one more its so so good. I have to say these were all on your recommendations too and i completely agree they definitely work ! beauty of joseon sun stick is one of the skin care product which just makes me joyful when I put it on, the powdery matt feeling gives me the feeling I wish to have for such a long time, it is just astonishing that there is a skincare product which gives me such joy, I guess i had so many suncare products which just made me uncomfortable with whitewash and sticky icky touch that's why I am so in love with beauty of joseon, going to try purito next

Oh I love the numbuzin but I have run out lol so I have one on order but its taking forever to come - I still love it.. I like both the Seoul and jumiso one in terms of the texture but the jumiso one has peptides in it which is a huge plus.. love x

@@MadAboutSkin it’s very interesting! i guess the blue bottle is slightly less prickly so it can be used day&night and with beauty devices the 100 felt like nothing and i suspect is comparable to the original 50 level. the 300 had a small amount of tingle and maybe similar to the original 100 level?

My favourite is the Haruharu black rice toner. Not necessarily because it's the best Korean product, but it was the first product I bought that made me realise skincare was more that washing with water and putting on sunscreen. I'll probably try the 1004 pore minimising ampoule. I recently got the cosrx 6 peptides, and while I haven't used it long enough to really be certain of any effects, the pump on the bottle is just so bad I won't be buying it again. I have to screw off the entire top and pour it onto a cotton swab which is just so wasteful. Especially combined with my often quite shaky hands. I'll bookmark the RNW ceramide serum as well, and see what my budget looks like the next time I'm ordering products.

Idebenone, is the most fascinating / addictive skincare ingredient I have found so far. Bonajour’s Idebenone toner and Sidmool’s Idebenone ampoule are definitely worth trying🎉 Recently, I tend to buy products you recommend such as Medipeel’s “Botox in a bottle”peptide ampoule, AHA’s eye cream and nimbusin 5 serum😉

I so wish I could love the Skin 1004 Pore minimising serum but it causes irritation for me….and I tried it twice determined to use it!! I wonder if it’s the small amount of Himalayan salts? I do love the Numbuzin 1 powder, it really has been a game changer for this oily gal! I add to my last step before sunscreen and am now using the VT no sebum powder as a setting powder for my make up. These two products had really made a difference to my skin confidence. I also love the Torriden firming cream. I’m getting the eye patches you suggested - they have caffeine and vitamin c - I was gonna get these instead of the retinol ones (since I use retinol at night). I don't understand the claim that the ampule can shrink pores ? Pores are genetic and are unchangeable arn't they ? I thought removal of grease etc.. made them less prominant but that it was impossible to actually physically change them ?

I love how lightweight the Skin 1004 Poremizing Ampoule is, and it's so affordable! I wish I knew what percentage of the ampoule is the peptides, as they're right at the bottom of the ingredient list.

I originally thought it was like the same strength as like The Ordinarys 0.2% or Medik8s CR 20 but im not so sure now... what do you think ?. Xx
