Taeyeon is my favorite singer in Korea and Shreya is my favorite in India. They're both amazing artists. They have completely different technique. It's unfair to compare them. People who say Shreya sings effortlessly compared to Taeyeon yes indeed, especially here since Taeyeon is belting those notes! There's no belting in Indian singing as far as I know (filmi or classical). And to say Indian classical vocals require more mastery (as I could read) is pointless too. Every technique is specific and difficult in its own lane. Opera technique is also very demanding for instance but still you can't say it's the most superior of all vocal techniques. Every technique serves one purpose, one esthetic 🎶🎶🎶 let's just enjoy these beautiful singers 🎶🎶🎶

You are right but technically speaking Indian way of singing is much harder. The "waves" and "accents" in the way they sing takes a lot of vocal control, impressive pitch and good musical memory. It takes much more training and discipline to get into Shreya's level compared to Taeyon's and Taylor's. Like I could only dream of singing Shreya's songs but I can manage well with pop and kpop. And Indian music is much harder to learn. If you're familiar with Carnatic music for instance you will understand how complex Indian music is. That's why I think India should preserve their music cuz it's really reached such a sophisticated level.

@@arien_000 I know... I'm Sri Lankan. When it's A/L, O/L exam practical time. Me and my friends used go near the music room to listen to the music students giving their practicals. My favourite part is when they do it in indian classical. And among those, the one still remember how beautiful it was is a girl doing carnatic performance. That was really impressive. AND SHE PLAYED THE SITAR TOO. That was literally honey in my years😭

Putting the singers of the same genre or singing style would have made a better comparision. Shreya is top level singer who has trained in indian classical singing. Comparing her to completely different style like pop singing which requires different singing techniques is not quite fair to the other singers.
