Yes I agree. Even me being an aunt, our nephews will let us change them but they generally go straight for mom because they are most comfortable with them sincw they see them every day. My parents are different though. The boys used to go over every weekend to their houae so they took care of the kids while they were there more than my sister, so they treat my mom and dad changing them the same as my sister changing them. This was all within the second-ish year though. First year obviously they can't tell you no XD so they let anyone change them, but ince they get toddling around they get pickier with people doing things(which is good, because you dont want just anyone to be able to interact with your child). The fact that the mother was still there for this experiment as well as handing him off to them made the situation automatically better, because it allowed the child to connect that the situation was okay.

I thought the same thing!! Also, if they had my 24 month old on, who does not have any Asian ancestry, it would be a very different scenario. Every time we got out and run into Korean exchange students at the local university, they faun over here, so actually, maybe it would be similar. It's her red curls and big blue eyes that always make my daughter so popular with people from other races and cultures, and I love it because I figure we're too broke to travel, so it gives me a chance to talk to people from other countries. With all the babysitting I've done over the years from childhood into adulthood, others kids and my own relatives, and even watching other parents, I can say for sure that the only surefire way to change their clothes that young is to grab them and just make it happen. You cannot convince that child to put on those clothes, you just can't. It's a wrestling match every time. Hyoseung really did approach it the best, a large part of being good with kids is relating to them. Playing with them and engaging will get their attention and respect the fastest. Not that Hyeni did badly, he just did it better. More naturally like the mom said.
@pandoraaaraseth10402 жыл бұрын
I disagree respectfully. I always proposed (when it was problematic and it seldom was, maybe the twenty some kids I helped raise were fashion conscious 😂), a game like let's become worms/caterpillars that turn into butterflies, when they didn't want to change or be helped change. Tailor it to each child, bc if they are more about acting like a worm in the dirt, capitalize on that part of the experience vs a child who loves acting out scenes or loves transformation games. Each experience with each child should be indicative of the childs personal passions and adjusted accordingly. And bc I am amazing at goofy (comes natural), retracting my arms in my shirt to become a caterpillar and squirming around the floor, came easy to me. During said process I'd help them shed their caterpillar skin, and then get their new colorful skin and wings from which their arms would emerge, sans problems. Of course my one nephew (no blood relation, but more like me than any other), preferred to play zombies and crawl out of his rotten skin and into new human skin, but I'm flexible Lol *Some of us are just harmless horror nuts. The main point is the same, ANYTHING is possible, even stress free with kids IF you are adaptable, you listen/pay attention and are unafraid to get on their level using your imagination. (Contrary to the popular view that you must impede your function, reduce yourself in some way to be on the same level. It's truly the opposite. Their imaginations are so much richer than ours and their brains are firing in multiple areas CONSTANTLY. Which means we actually heighten and enrich our abilities if we interact with them on their level). Another thing to remember, kids DO NOT respect your timeline lol If you know something will be hard to accomplish, afford yourself three times the amount of time you should need. Being on a rigid schedule only stresses out the caregiver/child & can start a feeling of failure that will taint and stress the entire experience. If you have fun, so will the child.
@TopAnimeLoverEver2 жыл бұрын
@@pandoraaaraseth1040 I also feel that you did not read the second half of my comment, as I stated that relating to the child IS best. I am well aware that acting silly and having fun with the child is the best way to relate to them and that once you are at THEIR level you can get them to cooperate more and they have more fun and an enriched experience. That is literally how I am with kids. But again, that young, sometimes the only option is to just wrestle the kid into new clothes. Because when all else fails, and you are way over schedule, you just have to make it happen. As far as the time limits stressing children out, yeah, they do, but this is not MY child, it is someone else's, and they are upset that their child is late to school, late to bed, etc etc., and I am not going to have a debate with them about how that type of parenting is stressful for the child. Some things are just time sensitive. Kids have to realize that sooner or later. I will give that child as much freedom as I possibly can but when we are an hour past when the task started and the child will still not cooperate no matter how I frame it, it's wrestling match time. And they forget that they're even mad about it 10 minutes later when you re-engage in the fun, now that they are dressed.

My cousin was about 6 months old, I was 19, and I didn't know what to do, and how to approach a baby (since I was the youngest in the whole family until she was born). I normally scroll past videos with kids but I’m so glad I didn’t this time, you all are so adorable. I found myself enjoying this so much more than I anticipated. The more I am exposed to Korean people, and Korean culture, the more I fall in love and want to go visit. Such a joyous zest for life, really heartwarming to witness. 💓
