Yes, I believe you are right about his singing being stress relief for him. He is a very polite, humble person and holds his temper in public, always trying to be nice to people (even when they are stupid, annoying or not nice). Although it looks like he was sorely tempted to get angry during the infamous incident with one of the judges (RuPaul) on The World's Best US competition. You can look it up if you want to find out what I mean. His face! It was like thunder. But he held it in and continued to be polite and dignified. He walked away from the competition because he discovered he was competing against children and he would not do that because it is not fair on the kids. He did not speak at all in public about what happened afterwards. His reserve is impressive. As you said,singing is also one of his ways to play with his voice and just have fun, although he also loves to make jokes and play pranks on people. When he is awake he sings or hums most of the time and taps the beats on things around him. He composes. He plays the piano and sings to learn songs. He sings when he is walking around. When he is quiet he is thinking about music, planning his performances or preparing to go on stage (and therefore saving his voice). He says if you cut open his brain or his heart there would be music all the way through. He practices 3-4 hours a day, but says he sometimes sings up to 10 hours a day depending on what he is doing. When he was modelling clothes and being photographed for magazines, he said quietly to the camera 'I don't like this. I really only like to sing'. Thank you for a great reaction guys!! Great reaction. Dimash was blessed with perfect vocal chords, perfect pitch, his mom is an opera singer, dad sings, and he practices 3-4 hours a day. And he started his training at age 5. He would especially not want others to compare themselves with him, but find their own niche. This video needs to add Opera 2 (a Russian song by Vitas ), SOS, Your Love, Across Endless Dimensions, and Stranger for more amazing high notes. And his other songs simply showcase his varied vocal talents. My favorite is War and Peace, which is, sadly, very apropos with today’s news.
