I love how some of these Korean guests mentioned and recognised PPOP and how it's slowly penetrating the global music scene. While I support these Filipinos who are trying to make it big in the KPOP industry (esp. Kriesha Chu since I followed her journey in KPOP Star 6 before), I think it won't be long until Filipino artists won't have to go abroad to be recognised for their talents and skills in performing.

2018 and onwards, Philippines produced a LOT of great artists. It's only a matter of time for them to get the recognition they deserve. I also hope that the American influence to keep its distance. I don't want music about women, filled with bad messeges, curse words, drugs, money and the like, because Philippine music, even in the old days, has always been about love, or something dreadful and/or light-hearted.

@@gaurikiya last update about her was around 2020 when urbanworks said she will be taking a break because of health issues. She was suffering from lymphedema if I’m not mistaken. There were news of her making a comeback after her last web series. I think I even saw a clip of Kriesha telling fans to wait a bit and look forward to her comeback. It’s already been two years and still nothing. But a few days ago, Urbanworks removed Kriesha’s name in their list of artists. Her contract with the company must have already expired. No official statement from Urbanworks nor from Kriesha herself. We don’t know if Kriesha will be coming back in the kpop scene. It’s difficult to process for the fans but we genuinely wish the best for Kriesha.

I am clueless about K-Pop or other artists in South Korea but I am fascinated about the acceptance of Filipinos because of their sheer talent in foreign countries. Here in the US, many talented half Filipinos are recognized enormously, one of the biggest is Bruno Mars and there's plenty more. Slowly, but surely Filipinos of all mixed nationalities are now the next superstars in the entertainment business. Go Philippines!

Not true, other southeast asian counties mainly Indonesia (more Arab influence), Malaysia and even Thailand. The Mestiza caucasian look are BIRACIAL part European part Asian. Pure blood filipinos are chinito-east asian look by majority and descendance going back before they were given Christian names. All Asians even Korean (Xing) & Japanese came from the hundreds of different Chinese ethnicities. Asians were in southeast Asia since the Ice age or after Noah's flood but point is Asia continent broke into Islands.

Filipinos that look Korean most likely have Chinese ancestry. I have 3% Chinese ancestry according to 23andMe. I am Filipino-American and lived in Korea for a long time. Every Korean I’ve met thought I’m Korean, including my Korean wife. Lol. Have not learned any Korean because I work with mostly Americans and Koreans that speak English.

Ang picture niya Nasa urbanworks web channel pa. What I know is she went on hiatus because of the pandemic and not because of her illness because she was already getting better. She even said that she was fine before going on hiatus. Her cousin even said that Kriesha is finding the right time to come back. I think her agency worries that she has no family in South Korea during this time of pandemic.
