You can be in a relationship, or with friends or surrounded by loved ones and still be lonely. To be alone and to be lonely is 2 different things though. It's better to have a Christmas where you are happy and alone then one where the family has disagreements with each other.

Stay strong Taesang! If you feel lonely, there is always a family or friends. If I was in Korea I would invite you over for Christmas just so you would not feel "solo". :D I am also lonely and alone so I know exactly what that feels like, but we gotta move on and take life as it is. I don’t know about others but in the PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 you may be solo/single for years but you can never be alone for Christmas. 🥳 If your away from your family, you can always have your friends to party with in their houses. Before COVID people use to open their homes for those who wants to eat. We have very strong Christmas spirit here that it’s hard to get lonely. 🎄❤️ Unless they just had a tragedy happened to them. 🥺

Kids get to learn how to be generous. You help them buy presents for siblings or parents or friends. Let them think about what mom may want. Let them wrap it , put it under the tree and get excited to give mom a gift, or their sister a gift. It is some of the best memories of parenting ! They always get but don't get much chance to give. You learn it even funner to give than get. Big life lessons for kids.

Perfectly alright to have a solo Christmas, or solo Christmas(es). I've been having them for the last 4-5 years. But I wouldn't mind sharing a Christmas with Bom. Taesang needs to learn to be happy being single, and enjoy being single. When you do that, and learn to enjoy life being single, you'll automatically become more attractive to others because you become more confident, happier, less needy and clingy, less inward-looking and more conscious of the needs of others around you.

It's strange to me that Christmas is a couples day ? Here in the US it is all about the kids ! It a day to spend with the family at home. Spoil the kids with things they want and need. Get your parents and siblings gifts. Hang out together as a family and have Christmas dinner. If your religious you celebrate the birth of Jesus too. If you are a couple, you visit both sets of parents, exchange gifts then leave asap to go home and fool around !

Here in Italy even if we're not religious we have VEEEERY long lunch/dinner time.
