If only people know the deeper meaning why South Korea is so thankful to the Philippines, Way back in 1950 during Korean War South Vs North, Philippines were the first country to send 7500 Soldiers in order to help defend SK against NK, it is still written and taught into their history, That's why There's this really special bond bet. SK and Philippines all through out these years, always looking out for each other and sharing culture.

True it was the Phil. Expedition Forces to Korean-PEFTOK if I’m not mistaken.
@rdc14313 жыл бұрын
The history is true but them, young Koreans, knowing about this is not. According to some Korean vloggers, they didn’t know this story about our nation helping them out during the war. It was taught probably as a whole, like we’re part of the United Nations, so there’s really no distinguishing us from the rest of the other UN soldiers. Only now, when reactions on the bravery of Filipinos in the Korean war began trending on KZbin, did they found out about this- how we held off Communist soldiers from gaining more South Korean ground. Praise God for the Peftok soldiers!☝️❤️

Yes, my father was among those Filipino soldiers under PEFTOK (Philippine Expeditionary Forces to Korea) 10th BCT (Battalion Combat Team). Was happy to note that this appreciation was also shown in their War Museum in Seoul

My Country (Free English translation of Philippine patriotic song “Bayan Ko”) My country, Philippines Land of gold and florals Love was in Her hand, shinning it’s beauty and lovelyness. And with Her fine and beauty, invaders were all drooled. My country! You’ve been imprisoned and drag down to sorrows. Even bird flying freely cries when caged. How much more of a lovely country will not desire to be free? My beloved Philippines, cradle of my teardrops and sorrow, my ultimate dream is to see you truly free!

Bayan ko was a Patriotic Poem written by Balagtas and rendered with Melody. This song signifies The Three Centuries of Struggle of Filipinos against Spain, America, and Japan ! The Filipinos in those struggling years were compared to Bird in Captivity yearning to attain The Freedom and Independence !

I first heard this sound in Ninoy' wake at his own funeral March to transfer his body from his home at Times St., Q.C. to Santo Domingo Church were Thousands and thousand of peOple came to pay respect to the man who led to free the nation from dictatorship. The Song became the battle cry of a big movement to free the nation. Marcos was deposed in February of 1986, by people power.
