Hajmola is for digestion but some indians like me eat it just whenever wanted. It comes in two tastes one is super salty and one is tamarind taste mean sweet and salty but from ur reaction I think u got 1st one. Namkeen is hindi word which literally means something salty derived from hindi word for salt called namak and yeah many people eat it with beer. For rusk it is not made from ginger but it's actually twice baked bread used as snack with tea in india. One with almond and yellow square shape is a type of indian sweet and it is not made of ginger guys and not eaten with tea. Ginger is only used in spicy dishes not on snacks or sweets. Last thing u eat is actually eaten with paan leaf and what u eat is main ingredient put inside leaf and then it's just chewed not swallowed. Actually it has different varieties. I hope u could taste indian street food like golgappe, samosae, pavbhaji, chaat , bhel puri etc. and also different food in different states of india because every indian state has its own special food dishes so hope u can have it.

namkeen literally means salty. basically any dry indian snack with salt in it can be considered namkeen
@funpunk1
@funpunk1 5 жыл бұрын
Hajmola is a digestive lmao. Namkeen means savoury. Namak is salt. Chakli is made of rice flour and is a low fat diet snack and quite tasty. Achari means pickle taste. Rusk is like a version of shortbread and is mostly eaten with tea and it comes in a lot of variants. Aam means mango and aam panna is a drink prepared by boiling mango juice with cumin and digestive spices and usually drunk during summers. I guess the packaged version was not that good. Soan papdi is like an indian version of a mille fuille . Crudely put, its just a sugar pudding lol Chikki is peanut praline. Peanuts coated with jaggery and we eat it during winters. Mango slice is just dried mango. Mitha means sweet and paan is betel leaves. It's a very common after dinner condiment. People stuff the betel leaves with nut or sweet rose and chew it like a 쌈.

A few things: 1. What you're wearing is called a kurta. 2. The green dot represents vegetarian food. Any food which contains egg or meat is alternatively marked with a red/brown dot. This is compulsory for almost all food products in India because many Indians are strict vegetarians for religious reasons 3. Namkeen means salty in Hindi! 4.The curly white fried thing is called murukku/chakli and it's fried rice flour. The shape is made by extruding the flour from a piping appartus in circles. 5. The juice is actually raw mango juice! The taste is accquired so I get that you found it too sour and vinegary. I used to dislike it as a child but now it's one of my favourite drinks. 6. The meetha pan is actually betel leaf! It is a mild psychoactive drug but it's also used mostly as a mouth freshener. So you literally were getting high off it 😂 oh and don't forget to spit it out after all of the flavour is gone. You're not supposed to swallow it! Thanks for trying Indian snacks I'm glad you liked most of them❤!

I'm answering your questions. 1. Namkeen ain't a brand.. actually it means salty.. translation of salty in hindi. 2. That green symbol means it's 100% veg,if that symbol is brown it contains egg n if is in red color it contains meat. 3. Hajmola is used to digest heavy foods. 4. Paperboat aam panna is boiled mango soup containing some sugar and spices. 5. Aloo bhujiya is made from potato.In hindi potato is called aloo.And we Indians love this very much 6. India is famous for spices. Every Indian food consists of a lot of spices. 7. It's not mIthA pan.. it's actually Meetha Paan. Meetha pan is actually mouth and mind freshner. According to me,you shouldn't compare indian food to any other country's food..India is India 🇮🇳 We love our mother India 🇮🇳 Jai Hind🙏💖 BTW nice video.. enjoyed it very much.

First of all, you both look so damn handsome in kurta !! 😍 Hajmola, is something what most of people eat as an after food. And Paper boat Aam Panna is made from raw mangoes, trust me the fresh Aam Panna tastes much better than that drink! Haldiram Sohan Papadi is a kinda sweet we eat...Chikki is made from ground Peanuts and jaggery, one of a common sweet we get here.😁 Mango jellies were my childhood treats. 😍 And pan (Pa-a-n) is usually eaten with a leaf and there are many varieties of it, but what you ate was the main ingredient though...😅

1. Paper boat is raw mango pulp mixed with black salt, pepper, asafetida. 2. Namkeen means snack food 3. Pan is betel leaf. What you ate was betel leaf crushed with many flavoured stuff, such as betel nut, dry pulse (dhana), some sweet confectionery, fennel seeds etc. 4. The moong dal is a pulse, fried in oil and salted as per taste. Pulse used is split green grams. Refer google for images. 5. Hajmola is an ayurvedic tablet used to be taken post meals, it helps in digestion and is eaten raw directly. 6. Chakli/chakla is a fried snack, it has blend of many pulses, deep fried. A specialist among south India, loved by all India.

Hi Darry and David, hope you both are doing great. I was exploring some Korean Vloggers and found your channel, I liked it because you guys cover various topics which helps people like me to get insights about the Korean culture and lifestyle. So I am definitely a new fan of you two. About the Indian snacks you tried, I am sure people might have given you insights in the comments section, I would also like to provide some information so you know about the eatables more. 1. Paper Boat - the company named it as Paper Boat because it holds a lot of childhood memories for people who are born in their early and mid 90s and now are between 26-32 years old. Because when we were kids we didn't have that much technology to explore like today's generation and we used to play outside with our friends and explore some kind of street foods, so the company made drinks considering those flavors which will make people like me who are 90s kids nostalgic and remind them of their good old childhood days. The flavor that you tried is the raw mango. 2. Paper Boat - named themselves as Paper Boat because, when we were kids (90s born) used to make a small boat of a page from our school's notebook and float it in the running water which flows on the road sides after the rains. These were the games that we used to play instead of playing mobile games as were not that exposed to technology (as I mentioned in my above statement as well) 3. Hajmola - It is not supposed to be chewed, you have to keep it in the mouth and simply just let it dissolve with your saliva. It's supposed to be consumed after the food, because we eat spicy and a bit oily good so Hajmola is considered as a good source to digest the food especially taken by people who have bad stomach habits. It's good to see you guys exploring our culture and food. :) Thanks.
