The thing is that in Islam it is believed that when you eat with fingers it is benefical for the person as it helps in digestion of food. That “sauce” is actually called raita in pakistan. It is basically yogurt with some spices. And you are suppose to mix it with biryani or rice for more flavour or it can help lower down the spiciness.

Asalam-0-Alikum Girls, Let me tell you that this is my first time that non-pakistani girls eat pakistani food like pakistani people. Also, i would like to tell you in details which is you ask in your video. first you talk about eating food with hands. eating food with hand is our religion thing if you know about our prophet P.B.U.H then you got my point. second thing is you like nali nihari it is ok that you like nali nihari but let me tell you that the food (2) dishes you ate is our main food items. it is like if we eat nihari at the same time we people dont eat bariyani at the same time. Thats why you girls dont get full taste of both dishes. so, it is recommended that please try both dishes separately for get the full taste. third thing is you girls need to put some chattni on baryani. why you dont do that. fourth thing is that coke is highly recommended with pakistani desi food. and in last you girls must come pakistan because the food you enjoyed is nothing infront of pakistani people and one thing i guaranteed that if you come pakistan you will see most of the pakistani people dont take money against food you eat. This look like pakistani's are. thanks and keep it up the good work girls and keep making video's on pakistani food.

Girls, for future reference, the naan pieces should be way smaller (preferably bite sized) and dipped generously in the masala soup (saalan), and pinch off a piece of boti (meat) before eating it. Plus the way to eat the rice in the biryani by hand is to have all four fingers grab a bite sized portion so that the rice sticks like it does in chopsticks before you slide it in your mouth with the edge of your thumb, it's kind of like 5 pronged chopsticks but instead of chopsticks it's your hands. Pakistani nihari is not so spicy but the resturants make very spicy food. We don't eat biryani with hands we use spoon but, for the naan or roti we use our hands. thanks for trying Pakistani food.
