Great video. Used to play in a band where the keyboard player had one when it was current tech, and borrowed it sometimes for my home studio. Had a lot of fun. Might dig out the tape reels and remember those days :) I later had a Poly800, and the first thing that struck me in the video is a certain similarity between the basic sound of this and the Poly 800.

just curious , what songs did you use this for? I had a Korg with knobs too, wasn't it a bitch trying to set those up between songs before digital presets?

@@alan93 basically used a string sound and a synth sound which we tweaked. The songs I remember it on were mostly originals. Would have been 1981 I think. Not that much later things like the Juno 106 came along and changed our world.

i bought one of these at the local dump for a fiver with a dead key and missing knob. didnt like the sound at the time as i just had got a juno 6 mint for 80 quid and liked the warmer sound. sold them both in the end. wish i hadnt

CockatooDude because it uses divide down technology. Not a true polyphonic synth.

It all depends what sound you want, and neither of them is as powerful as current state of the art. The Delta did what it did very well.
