DW-8000 is a gem with a sad user interface. After hearing this video I think I have to wipe the dust off mine and maybe get a programmer for it. What an underestimated piece of gear!

Thanks for your thoughts! It can sound very good and has a great low end. I've completely forgot to use my Stereoping Controller during patch making. XD Next time on the Crumar Bit 99 or Kawai SX-240.

I bought a Modwave, that has every DW8000 waveform. Not sure if its filter is the same or similar. I do find it hard to compare synths.

@@M80- It is not clear, but he could be using software or he could be using a computer editor. Maybe he explains in Part 1? To my ears, his filter sweeps sound no different to virtual analogue software filters. Maybe one day I'll get an actual DW8000 for comparison to my Modwave, which by the way is on version 2. I guess V2 has a newer Raspberry Pi Single Board Computer (SBC) inside, for more polyphony. It has the same 2 parts or layers as DW8000, each with 2, 3 or 4 oscillators. For the money, it's excellent.
