Thanks to you guy! I did not understand everything because I'm French. But thanks to tutorial. I managed to get out of the Acid sounds of my electribe. Even if it was not quite the same as you. But I succeeded !!! Thank you!

Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I ve a problem, I'm using the other Electribe, the one with written on the right side, but when I'm pushing on the LPF button, I don't have "acid LPF". It's only written "LPF On" and LPF OFF I'm at 3:20 on the video
@alexandergruber69747 ай бұрын
Hi, the various filter type are only available in the synth versionof the electribe. Not the sampler version. But yoou should be able to get to this sound with the filter the sampler has but have to tweak the settings quite a bit. For example crank up the Resonance all the way

I am just starting to get interested into music production and I was wondering if you think this would be a good first piece of gear? I am a huge fan of goa trance and psytrance as well as some acid. It would be so sick if you made one of these on goa trance!
@MaartenHaaseTrouwfilms8 жыл бұрын
I already made a sort of psytrance tutorial, IMO this thing is great for beginners, for example to learn many basic synthesizer things. But younshpiod also take a look at novation circuit. Never played with it, but yeah, seems t be great stuff.
@Martz6048 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah I was thinking of getting something like the Novation Mininova or the old Electribe MX-1 but decided I will go with this newer Electribe 2 to start with. It's pretty cool with the flexibility of doing pretty much everything on one piece of equipment. I still need to do a lot of research though.
@thundertentronchk75158 жыл бұрын
The electribe 2 will teach you several important things, (1) how to program drums, (2) how to use filters, especially low pass, and how to sequence monophonic basslines. Get it.

Great video! Question: your sample library has other samples than my electribe (just bought one through ebay). For example: your 026 BoostNine kick - thats not in my library. Did you add those samples yourself / update the library?

I can't do this on the sampler version of the electribe because it doesn't have the acid lpf, is that correct?
@bradgrounds6 жыл бұрын
that's a hack, not legit from korg, is that right? i didn't realize the sampler version didn't have the acid filter

thanks for this tutorial, but when i arrive for acidizing and when i put the button LPF for change the filter type, i just find electric LPF on or off, i dont find acid filters, sorry for my englis it is very bad i hop you answer me bey :)
@MaartenHaaseTrouwfilms8 жыл бұрын
Foufa Graff i think you have the sampler(black or red version. Sampler have only 1 type of lowpass. You can use that one too. Maybe add a littlebit more distortion in the fx setting, or set the mfx to distortion and send only the bassline to the mfx section. Maybe you need also a littlebit more resonance.
@foufagraff54368 жыл бұрын
Maarten Haase thanks for your answer surely i have the red version.... i can't download filter on internet and add it on my electribe ? im so pity caus i buy it for make acid sound :(
@foufagraff54368 жыл бұрын
Maarten Haase you think i will buy the electribe blue ?
@MaartenHaaseTrouwfilms8 жыл бұрын
Foufa Graff no you cant change it. Buying only the electribe for the acid filter would be stupid IMO. Have you tried the normal electribe lpf instead with additional an/or extra distortion like like I recommended? I think that should work or the difference is small compared the the acid filter. Acid lpf is lpf filter but then with little bit more distortion. So don't mind using the lpf in the sampler.
@foufagraff54368 жыл бұрын
Maarten Haase yes i tried the electric lpf and like you say, it is weak... its pity thanks for answering

I wanted to buy one of these because they look fun. But I know it only goes so far. I’m better off getting my laptop fixed and using my DAW. Yes its a mouse and not buttons and knobs but the capabilities are endless.

Now did you get into music production or did you get stuck half way through fixing your laptop?
