I've put this one, and several others from your Gadget series, into a playlist so I can keep watching them over and over again, and it really is working for me. Little by little, I'm getting the gist of it and I've only had Gadget 2 installed since yesterday. One thing I've noticed is that Korg could have named these instruments after anything. They chose cities of the world, but it could have just as well been colors, i.e, Red, Green, Blue, Fuschia, Orange, etc. whatever. When I first heard about Gadget and the naming of the instruments, even before hearing them, I was expecting they'd been named for certain instruments associated with each city, like a Spanish guitar for Madrid, etc.

This is a great primer to Gadgets. I watched it before I even paid for it and now watching more closely since it’s installed. One thing missing from your information is, it would be helpful to start out telling folks that a good portion of your tutorial involves Paid gadgets. Otherwise, is awesome.

Hi again Doug … I had to come back to add a second comment. I was about to bite the bullet and purchase Ableton Live but from your demo it appears that Gadget has a similar workflow. Using Gadget might enable me to put off a major purchase of Ableton. Do I understand that you can use any instrument that you have in Module Pro in Gadget? Thanks again.

I'm surprised I'm having so much trouble with this but I've got a new iPad and I can't figure out how to get all my tracks on the new iPad. Last time I backed up my iPad, set up the new one, and lost a couple years worth of tracks. I'm trying not to repeat that, any help would be appreciated.

Hi, great video! I have a question: since I'm not using an external keyboard, I wanted to set the onscreen keyboard to a classic piano layout with two black keys, then three, then two again and so on between the white keys. I can't seem to get that configuration in Gadget 2 in the "scale" options, am I doing something wrong or does it just not have that?

No, you can’t use other Apps inside Gadget, even with the paid version.

Thanks for the “getting started” lesson. I get how I can “loop” or “not loop” a scene. Is there a way to loop the whole song, or is it a linear only one and done? I create backing tracks to improvise guitar and bass to just for fun.

Great video for a noobee to Gadget like me (thank you)! I'm surprised that Korg chose to have tracks along the top and scenes down the side - for me it is far more intuitive to have it the other way around (so your song progresses from left to right more like a traditional timeline and DAW). Also, it would be great if you could load AuV3 instruments (but I guess Gadgets need to be quite bespoke to work in the app). Thanks again for the video.

Gadget has cool sounds, but pisses me off it lacks simple features. I like Roland ZENBEATS that’s more worth it. But I seen videos of people making sick beats on gadget.
