I would love to see your review of Casio's new release, the Casio Casiotone CT-S1-76. I had been seriously considering the Korg Liano, but I may consider the CT-S!-76. For now, I'll be watching for reviews. Thank you for this very detailed review of the Korg Liano.🙂

Thank you for your comment♪✨ The CT-S1-76 is identical to the CT-S1, except for the extra keys and the increased speaker power. Please see below for a review of the CT-S1☺Thank you♪ kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zqm5kK2Vl9Ggr7s

Great video review and demo. I just heard about this piano yesterday from my friend Jeremy See reviewing the Roland Go:Keys 3/5 It is an affordable and light 88 not keyboard, but I wish it jad at keast the ¼" stereo audio output jacks and switch for the speakets like you stated. But it's a great bargain and good quality for the price at $350 USD. Maybe a good inexpensive controller if I need the 88 key range.

Thanks for your comment ♪ I agree with you✨ I look forward to seeing more amazing instruments at amazing prices from various manufacturers in the future ☺

@@pf_masa Yes. Sometimes we wish or would like more or different features, or changes like we both stated, but it's very good that all the companies are trying to be innovative and also offer diverse products and features for different price ranges.. The Go:Keys 3/5 is a perfect example of offering affordable instruments with a lot of features and capabilities.

Thank you for your very detailed and kind review Master! I am a complete beginner and was thinking about this piano but then heard you say what I could also hear (but not put in words): it doesn't sound "together" like a melody from a piano, even though each sound is beautiful on its own, so ordered Roland GO piano 88 that sounds so much better and natural to me but this Korg is also great for the price and if you want more up to date features over piano sound 😊

Thank you for your nice review! I would like to ask your opinion and experience between the touch/action/feel of the keys of this Korg Liano L1 and your Casio CT-S1. Which one you prefer/like more? And why? How does the Liano's keybed action/touch/etc... feels compared to the CT-S1? Thank you very much!
@pf_masa2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment! The touch, action and feel of the CT-S1 and Liano keys are both very good. The reason is that both are comfortable to play without any weird gripping, without straining the wrists. I prefer the Liano, which has less rattle. Thanks!

I have never been a fan of Korg pianos, and this model would not be an exception. We are still waiting for a comparison of the CFX Montage, CK 61 and P225 pianos. Thank you!
@pf_masa4 ай бұрын
Thank you !! While I was making the video comparing the CFX tones, the new CFX2 sound source was released for MONTAGE, so I am reconsidering by discarding the previously recorded video and recreating the video including the CFX2. I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. I plan to upload the video in the best possible condition, so please wait a little longer.

Honestly, what results do you expect? You get what you pay for. Those are completely different instruments designed for different use cases. CK series - semi-professional stage keyboards, P - home pianos, Montage - professional instruments for studio work or live performances. 61 synth keys like CK 61 or Montage 6/7 are best for synth / bass / organ sounds. For piano sounds, 88 weighted keyboards are preferred, e.g., CK 88, Montage M8 or P225. I doubt you would hear any difference on KZbin because the sound is compressed. Also you need good studio monitors to hear the difference.

I think it’s unfair to compare Liano with Yamaha P225 or Kawai ES120 or Casio PX1100 which cost twice as much. Liano is closer in price with Casio CTS1, Yamaha Piaggero NP15/35 and Casio CDP-S110. Personally I think Casio and Piaggero have better features, sound selections and their speakers match their sound really well. However, Korg has a higher power speaker output, a wider, lighter and good Keybed. Combined with Korg Module Pro and Gadget Apps with its built in usb audio interface. You can use it on desktop to compose different styles of music. But I agree that if you are a pianist, you should pay more to get the higher price models with weighted keys.
It would be great to see a demo of Liano with the software that come with it. Korg Module Pro and Korg Gadget on IPad. Korg module has many expansion packs that you can use free for 7 days. There are many new piano packs, for example Oasys Piano, Ivory Piano, many nice ePiano packs too. Korg Gadget is also a nice looper like software. Liano plus Korg Nanokontrol make it a great midi controller.
Casio just releases a new CTS-1 with 76 keys. It’s a pity they did not improve the split/layer function, its user interface and still no proper 1/4 line out. But if it’s similar in price as Korg Liano or Yamaha Piaggero NP35, it is a really good alternative. I just wish it can play as loud as an acoustic guitar.

I agree with you. The CT-S1-76 has more keys and a more powerful speaker amp, but otherwise has the same features as the previous S1. I'm especially disappointed that the pedal function remains ON/OFF and the half pedal function was not included this time.
What cord are you using to connect to external Speaker ? My electric piano 1sounds terrible. To much effect. Yours sounds good. Why ? Can you help me. I am connecting a single wire ta my PA. Do i need a special cord ? Thanks ..
@pf_masa4 ай бұрын
I use a normal cord to connect from Liano's PHONEOUT to my audio interface (Apollo twin x). I think the signal-to-noise ratio is poor because of the low output level of Liano, or the cord is faulty and you use a different cord. --- Also, I think the main reason for the good sound quality is that I record with Logic (DAW) + audio interface (Apollo twin x). Thanks!

Hi, except the weight and size, i think the CASIO CDP-S110 is a better choice... 50$ difference, bigger, but... What do you think ? Thanks for the test Master...
@pf_masa4 ай бұрын
Hello♪ If I had to choose between Liano and S110, I would choose S110. On the other hand, S110 is a normal digital piano with hammer action, so if I were looking for a reasonable digital piano with hammer action, I would choose FP-30X or P-225♪ Thank you ✨

I am curious why the polyphony is said to be 120/3=40. I thought each piano note has three velocities and each note is stereo so has left and right channels sample. So for piano the polyphony should be 120/2=60. I think the harpsichord uses left and right sample plus a plucking sound, so it uses three samples per note hence only 40 polyphony. Others maybe use only mono sample so should have 120 polyphony.
@pf_masa4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. The polyphony I mentioned is 120/3=40, and it's written in the manual. It didn't say how it's structured.
