Great instrument! It would be nice if KORG produced such an arranger keyboard with mini keys again.

I love this tiny toy-like keyboard. It's cheaper. If I have enough budget and expert at keyboard, i will buy more expensive and powerful keyboard. This keyboard is very affordable for beginners.

Can it re-voice the auto accomp on the preset style/rhythms? I'm also wondering if you can turn on/off individual instrument tracks in the preset rhythms? I know on the Yamaha psr e453 you can, but you cant change the voice played in the rhythm.

Can anyone tell me how this stacks up against the MicroStation's EDS-i engine in regard to sound quality? I.e., is the sound engine in the Microarranger as good as the Microstation or Micro Piano? I'm looking for a keyboard that I can take as an airline carry-on & that will aslo facilitate some practice time on those long layovers.This is perfect (speakers, size, tracks etc.), but I also want something good enough to fit in & hold it's own with my home rig (Motif xs, psr-s910, C-3/770).

I'm tempted to buy this, but need some more information first. The styles all seem to be overly quantised and a lot of loosening up would be necessary before they would be suitable for an audience. Is that possible? Also, the drum patterns seem to be rather anaemic, flat and upfront. A lot of processing would be necessary for individual drums sounds before they would sound OK within each style, so is that also doable? The sounds on the Korg microstation sound much more powerful than this.

please KORG, update this little beast.. please look into your midi implementation especially using Korg MA as a Tone Generator from external midi players. It won't automatically reset controllers in midi files, unlike all other Sound Modules & Keyboards..
@IanCanefire7 жыл бұрын
glad I read this. I was about to buy it and I was also reading the manual to learn about how deep the MIDI functionality is. I want to use some of these sounds but also external sounds generated from it to my yamaha and roland gear. Plus I want to record the midi data into my MPC4000. I may have to pass on this if the MIDI has issues. Can you better explain "automatically reset controllers " with a specific example of what you mean? please.

seems real cool, except even Rich Formidoni have trouble playing on the small keys - his hands can't stop shakin and acidentally gently pushin the neighbour keys. aside of this the machine looks a jewel.

The Micro Arranger is a 100% copy of the PA50sd, no corners cut, apart from the smaller keys that is. If you realize that at the time the Sound and Style engine of the PA1X was the same as that of the PA80 ,which in turn was identical to the PA50 you might get an idea what you are getting at a bargain price. As to the keys, it has full MIDI implementation so hook it up to your Tyros, Roland etc. and play big keys. Check out some of my recordings on youtube with this arranger, search : matseims

@africanmaan it's a common stuff for the big companies. but Korg are not so bad at this. Roland are far worse - they present their best synths with videos that you can fall asleep in the first minute and a half.
