I watched this while waiting for my XD to arrive at my house. First i didnt get it at all. Watched again and then again. The synthesis growed on me like a dandelion through the pavement. Providing the inspiration and strength it will take me to learn and grow with my XD. I now love it and cant stop enjoying this somewhat sad but yet strengthening tune.

I got my microkorg less than a year ago and my old roommate also has a minilogue xd. Then I see this and it makes me realize I need not to choose between the two, but to just get both.. 😅😂

This is a good bit more creative and multifaceted than most synth performance videos. Bringing in and out the steps to create syncopation and vary the feel, but obviously the conceptual ending - ouch. It's almost difficult to listen to a second time, because knowing how it's going to end adds huge weight to the music. Now as I listen I feel like it's the last 5 minutes of a loved one's life and it's very emotional. And I need to hear something else immediately haha. Very effective at conjuring/connecting to our mortality.

@@bilozone_music with this particular track Id like to use the ostinato as a basis, and use the beep that sounds like a heart monitor, given my recent heart attack. In general Id like to network with fellow musicians and youtubers, build some relationships, do some remixes, and hopefully build up a selection of tracks that I can clear for release as an EP or album and finally get some music out there after nearly 30 years of making music. Hopefully to ultimately grow this channel, generate a fanbase, and let people know my music exists. Before I have the "big one" that ends my existence on this mortal coil.

I bought a minilouge xd nearly 2 years ago and i still pretty lost , unless you have someone to teach you synthisis id go for the microfreak !!!! Its brilliant for biginers like myself , i dont know what it is but it just seems so much easier to create lush sounds just by the way its laid out

It took me a few weeks to understand the minilogueXD. But it was my first analogue synth. I had to watch some videos explaining analogue synthesis first of all.

The Minilogue xd plays only one sequence at once. But with an external sequence controller it might be possible to play additional sequences. You just have to take care not exceed the 4 voice polyphony limit!

No, the sequence runs in both vcos. I just manually added additional notes that are not part of the sequence!

Well in this case i did not use the distortion. I think it just sounds like i was using distortion. Maybe you interpret the overtones of the filter as distortion? Anyway, you are right. It sounds magical 🥰

No, it’s all running on the same patch. The sequence and the live notes are running at the same time in one shot!
