Korg Pandora PX4! A Blast From The Past!

The "More" preset at 2:00 minutes is why i have this thing. Its my favorite and most used tone for recording and playing live. Ive owned and used a lot of multieffects, Zoom, pod xt, digitech, Avid 11r, etc. and this thing remains the King. There are some distorto sounds that beat out the pod xt and a lot of other units but its the "More" setting that lights my knickers. Thanks Mr. Gatewood, well done.

I agree with your comment. I have a px3 and love it. I don't use the distortion stuff at all, but it has a lot of other sounds I like and use. It's great for recording to tape too. I still have an old tascam 4 track tape deck that I play around with occasionally.

ive had mine for almost 20 years. played with it off and on then lost it in 2013 and just recently found it. neat for what it is

I bought the 1st gen PX when v2 came out at have price... I loved it so much I started saving £10 each month in an "effects account" knowing they would update it again... I now have px1, px2 and PX4D The PX4D is my favourite Pandora, it's so easy to Set up.... Guitar into Fet Boost into Pandora. Stereo out via headphone output into Stereo powered speaker cabs.... the sound is HUGE!! The Humble setting is Great for Blues then step on the Fet boost for Gary Moore sustain. It takes pedals really well and the Brian May ping pong makes you wanna play and play and play I now

Been using my px4d since I got it in the mid 2000s, great little box. Died for no reason then self revived after a year when I decided to check it out again because I was needing to direct in for a church gig. Still competes to this day if you ask me. It sounds almost as good, if not as good, as the pod stomp they have now.

I seem to remember that *Mark Tremonti* had used/marketed this device. Really like it (besides that I've lost its belt clip). Nice for practicing at night time using a headphone.

I had the PX3 years ago and it was great. I have to admit that I spent more time with a mic plugged in to it than my guitar.

I used to have 1st generation Pandora, But I bought one of this too, It sound good on a clean amplifier like Boss Live acoustic amp, I lost the small thick manual but I'm sure It will fun playing and experimenting with it, thanks for showing your toy

Great review. I still have my old px3, which doesn't have all the features of the px4, but still has a lot of similar stuff. I had a px4 when it came out, but foolishly sold it for almost nothing.

How was you playing this, amp, interface, monitors, etc? I have used my through a variety of amps and was never too satisfied with the tones. Your unit sounds much better. What's the hookup?

Bruce, do you think the Ammoon Pockrock keeps up with the PX4, or any other similar "pocket sized" unit. Looking for one to practice at home with headphones, don't really know which one to get. You seem to get very good sounds out of the PX4 (much better than what I get from my old Korg AX1000). Thank you for the review

This unit also has infrared wireless headphones connection which you can buy separately. Only PX4 has the infrared headphones, no latency.
