Awesome! Sounds great! I’m definitely fond of what Korg does and how they sound. I don’t have a Moog yet, though 😅

I love how life brings people together. It is only today that I was thinking of using a few of the string tunes I made a few years ago and haven't touched it as I have been quite intimidated by the Korg PA1000 which I am lucky enough to have. Thank you for connecting. You are an inspiration.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm a terrible artist but have found some joy in "trying" with Adobe Fresco and the ability to merge it with original music seems to improve it all. Have you tried adding your string tunes to your art videos? Might be a fun experiment! 😉

@@mwmusic29 funnily enough, I hadn't before today. That is why this connection is so serendipitous but since all my string tunes were sombre due to my dad passing at the time of my learning, I am now going to use one for a Remembrance Day pour I am planning. If you ever wish to share your music or can replicate Nimrod's Enigma, let me know and I can add it to the requiem list of about 4 tunes I am planning. I would credit you of course. I have a meditation channel which I used all my own music for if you are interested (Beyouruniquepotential). They sound very ambient. I am looking forward to making my way through your videos too. Happy Saturday eve. Adobe Fresco sounds super fun! 😉

In the mid-eighties the Polysix was the first synth of my own. But it had those battery issues and I let it go... Thanks for your rescuing those old synths, they're worth it - and thanks for showing us those fat sounds that you produce with it.

Hi Matt - Great stuff! Although I can't repair anything, it's fascinating to watch other people doing it 👍 As for reviews - there are those who go through it knob for knob which is great for the info. But what I really like to see in a review is what the reviewer actually thinks of the gear on a personal level. You get to know the reviewer, what they like and don't, and can then relate it to the instrument. The former is easy but it's like a walk through the manual. YT channels are about people and personalities and I like to know what individuals think, not what companies want them to say 😊

Matt, you created some really nice sounds. BTW, the sound quality of your videos are excellent. Is everything coming out of external speakers?
@mwmusic29 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Brad! When I do the speaking parts I'm using OBS on my Mac and recording the audio and video straight into that software. Then it kicks it all out in a MOV file. For anything else, like performaces, I usually film on my iPhone and record the audio in Pro Tools, and then merge them afterwards. I find that process to be tedious and I'm sure there's a better way to do it but I haven't advanced that far yet in my production skills. :)

@@mwmusic29 I am light years away from your technical abilities. My keyboard is connected to a Tascam Portastudio with an SD card. I export my music to my computer and combine song and a picture on Photo App. From your Pro Tools, are you able to upload your music directly to KZbin?
@mwmusic29 Жыл бұрын
@@AmbientSound7 Nothing wrong with that process! Whatever it takes to get the job done. :) I’ve never tried exporting from PT to KZbin. I wouldn’t be surprised if it could do that - I think I use about 7% of what PT is capable of!

Do you repair? About the first sound: Does your Polysix have After Touch or is it the inverted EG?
@mwmusic29 Жыл бұрын
My dad and I do repair work. There’s no aftertouch on the Polysix unless someone figured out a way to modify it. You were hearing the EG on that first patch. :)

I heard distorted that I'm surely it's not what the original tone of PolySix, it might be some effects you added, I quessed.. I don't know. But I had 2 of them and used them every day in 80's days. If there's no extra overdrive FX there, I think you should compare it to other P6 near by.
