Exactly I tell people all the time, John Legend, Rodney Jerkins, etc.. are professional pianist, they don’t need a studio or plug-ins. Give them a piano and anybody with ears are going to sit there and listen. So to all people seeing this comment, learn an instrument and get your listening skills up.

I've been a proud owner of the triton before I had to sell all my hardware. It definitely has it's qualities and power and sound palette, but omnisphere is quite a different beast with lots of crazy atmospheres , hits and textures that are in many ways more deep than what's present in a Triton. And I even had the MOSS board that has a pretty distinct style as well. You can't beat TRITON if it comes to make allround music styles because it has a larg amount of to the point drumkits and ranges of keyboards, synths and pads etdc. But omnisphere is more specialized for film music. I'm happy to have been able to add the triton to my vst collection

@Ast3rixMusic
@Ast3rixMusic 4 жыл бұрын
Arturia collection is a software emulation of some classic synths. Arturia has made each emulation almost exact as the original and added some new synthesis tweaking as well. You can't compare any of these to another they are unique and every developer does something different in their efforts to emulate the real hardware. This is one reason why I saved up and just purchased them all. When I need a specific sound I look at different packages. If you have a more budget conscious view then you need to decide what will work in your setup and go for it.

Awesome! I still have my original Korg Triton keyboard stashed away. Stopped using it because it was hard to integrate into a VST environment and got tired of recording through the analog outputs for every track so this plugin is a super bonus in that you can get more than one instance on discreet mixer channels. I Transferred to Omnisphere but found that the sound choices on Omnisphere ware super limited but at the same time broad in a textural way. To my ears It really only does one sort of (Ethereal??) sound very well and that's it to me. My Triton gave me so many more diverse sounds even without any expansions added to it. It also did ethereal evolving pads very well too! To the people here who defend Omnisphere, they really cannot be compared. Omnisphere is an amazing "interesting" Synth, not a library of bread and butter sounds and then some. Will add this baby back to my arsenal and it's great since I've been feeling super nostalgic lately. BTW I'm still hearing crap-loads of these sounds on records today so it definitely hasn't dated!

I think Triton has unique strength and it is liquid low range (especially bass, warm pads, brass, etc). Maybe other hardware synths also have this sound so I think liquid low range sound is big strength of hardware synth. As a composer who only uses software synth, this sound is one of the longest challenge to overcome. Today I just watched this vst version of Triton and could hear that liquid low range sound.

Bought the Triton Collection 3 a couple of days ago(used to own the Triton Extreme) & I can honestly say that the Triton EX has been recreated in every exquisite detail and damn, it's dope being able to use the Triton EX sounds in my Reason 10 DAW(without having to hook up an actual Triton EX to my USB audio interface!) Don't care for the rest of Korg's synths(particular the M1 being the absolute worst)...though the PolySix V2 is tasty....so I never went for the complete bundle. As for which is better....Omnisphere or Korg? Well...that is determined by what you want, specifically. That is to say...Omnisphere has it's own distinct sound....which is impressive...but it's too expensive & you need a monster PC to run the shit. Personally....I don't really care for Spectrasonics....as I had bought the Trillian bass module & it was good...but $279 and an additional $10 to install this software on another computer...WTF!? In terms of how much you get for the money...I would say Korg is the winner...no doubt. Please play Axel F beginning with F flat, next time....the wrong key was hurting my ears. 😉😁

I say: Get this bundle(Korg), get all of the Sprectrasonic offerings( Keyscape, Omisphere, Trillian and Stylus RMX), Reasons( vst), Arturia Collection, and Vengeance-Sound VPS Avenger Synthesizer Plug-in, Kontakt (libs) Along with Logic Pro X or whatever you're going to DAW is, you're good to ...

The Triton alone is worth the price, but with the M1 and the Wavestation, it is a no brainer if you are into the Korg sounds. Then with the other classics thrown in, you can pretty much produce an entire album's worth of orchestration with just this one VST collection. If you pair it with the Omnisphere, then you are "synthed" out for the rest of your life.

@@SweetScaleTV One drawback of Omnisphere have very big sample library that took insane amount of diskspace and it's very heavy load on computer performance. I consider better Spire, it's relatively cheap, sounds are superb so are the effects in it, good arpeggiator, you name it. It have everything needed to get almost any type of sound. It's very performance efficient, you can easily have 10 spire's even on laptop. Just fast analysis :) Ofc, these are always preferences, no doubt Omnisphere and Korg VST collection (which I also have) are really good VSTi:s thats for sure. Korg I didn't like much because at the end, it sound way too digital. I prefer more analog type of sounds. Korg VST collection's Monopoly is the most near what I like.
