Jamming some random ideas on the Volca Beats. Without any extra synths or pads I stuck to a minimal techno vibe at 140BPM.

Real late to this one but considering what you were working with here, bravo. It's wild what some people have accomplished with the older Volcas.

Thanks! Very kind of you. I have kind of moved on and am less busy with music but I definitely enjoyed these jam sessions on small and dedicated hardware. It’s a bit like with photography and lenses with a specific aperture, making you really work within the constraints of that setup and trying to be creative 😄

This is sick, dude. It’s interesting because it’s not a ‘traditional’ instrument but the knowledge of it that you possess puts it a lot closer to one. I enjoyed the mixing bits, the farthest I’ve gone is just perfecting one sick transition. Love the call backs

Lot of great ideas here to try on this device-and all with the dreaded 'battery low" signal! NICE!!

Haha; I hadn't even noticed at the time 😅 Haven't got the Volca Beats anymore but currently having fun learning the Elektron Syntakt.

Thanks! I don't even have it anymore (the video is a couple of years old) but it was a lot of fun as it was entirely self-contained.

Massive jam from this little synth, I subscribed although your video is from years ago.

Thanks for the kind words. It has indeed been years ago and I’ve kind of moved on from working with it 😅 But I guess the video still shows that once you get to know these compact machines it is definitely possible to get out quite a bit more than most people would think!

sorry so much for stupid question🙏did you use for this awesome demo sounds via MIDI ?
@Thisco116 ай бұрын
Thanks for reaching out to me. All of the sounds are from the Volca Beats itself. If I remember correctly (the video is a few years old and I don't have the machine anymore) I used the MIDI connection simply as a way of keeping the Maschine-software in-sync as that was what I was using to get the audio of the performance on my laptop. That set-up has undergone quite a few changes should you be interested. I'm now playing with an Elektron Syntakt connected over a USB-cable into Ableton Live. Have fun making music!

Seems like someone has read the user's manual carefully... I wonder why Korg doesn't promote this product with you!
