I think you can get a very wide range of sounds with just the 3 knobs on the left, but it's modular and many people rather modulate everything and get weird sounds (I get it, I like bleeps and bloops too) but I've been dying for a demo like this. I bet it can be a much more practical inatrument then most demo's would have you believe. Also the nice delay and reverb definitely help :)
@DreamsOfWires5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I agree about the 3 knobs on the left. I've yet to get around to the weird stuff, apart from a fairly interesting drone. It can certainly be musical providing the patch cables don't fall out :D

That sounds as though you were using 3 Modular Volcas with 3 different patches -not one! And the way you created the Soundscape using one Modular Volca with that one large patch is just amazing. I've got the same Volca and I love making assortments of patches on it, sync various drum machines or Bastl patchable instruments to it and run it through an amp. I'm teaching myself Modular Synthesis, how to patch to what and why etc. I would like to have some modules in a single rack. Anyway, if it's possible, can you write out the patch used for this piece? I would greatly appreciate it. 💥🎹🐾🔥🐒💡

If you have another Korg Volca with MIDI, you can say sync the Volca with, for example your DAW, then run a sync (3.5mm cable) from the MIDIed Volca to the Volca Modular.

It looks like its using the modulator wave as a second oscillator (routing it to the second LP Gate). The modulator is set to a higher pitch with the ratio knob, and then with the cutoff knob you can "hide it"
