Korg Volca Techno Set - Volca Volca Volca!

ULTRA VOLCA-ZORD 4.0 IS HERE!!!!
I recently came across a really good deal on some used volcas, and had to jump on it! Volca Bass & Beats are now residing in the Jaminarium!
Featuring:
Korg: NTS-1, NTS-2, Volca Drum, Volca Beats, Volca Bass, Volca Modular.
To tie things together, we've got some audio and power cables and a passive mixer (red box) from myvolts.
And that's it!
I am really into this combo so far! There's straightforwardness and enough quirkiness to go around.
I have one more slot open in my mixer, and probably room in the case for another volca. Which should I add?

Wow! Great stuff all around. Volca Modular brings the special sauce! Love the shift at 4:23 and when the beat goes to bed at 7:08. Everything after that is right up my alley. Very nice! Maybe add a Volca Keys?

Thank you :) I really enjoy hanging out in the ambient world a little more as well. I was thinking about that one, and they are often up for sale used for good prices online! I think the Keys is also a bit underrated. It was my first one years ago, but I guess I sold it to fund something else. They would add some nice pads and more analog warmth in there.

Oh man thanks for the thought, that's awesome! I am in Canada, shipping in and out sucks :( I'll just use volca drum for those snares lol. Maybe Korg will come out with a volca beats 2 like they did with the FM and Sample. But this time, with the snare and midi mod, and some other features or better sounds.

Good fun! I love jamming with my little volca's! I really like the sounds you can achieve with the volca drum (I don't have that one yet), but I never bought the beats cuz I just couldn't take that snare, and I was too lazy to buy one and mod it. lol! So that Myvolts must be a little passive mixer, then?

Thanks!! I agree, the volcas are great. :) The drum is one of my favourites I'd say. It can get really experimental and go way past drum sounds. A modded beats would be nice. I've noticed that volca beats is a bit quieter than the rest. I got it for a great deal though ($40 CAD, same with volca bass) And I think together the drum and beats can be a really cool combo and mix of sounds. Yeah! The mixer is passive and from myvolts; they call it "mickXer".

I know Volcas are considered toys by many but they are so powerful in the right hands like yours! Currently looking for a second hand used Volca Modular to add to my collection! Btw I think Volca Drum is still my favourite!

🙌🙌🙌🙌 Thank you kindly!!! Those volcas are great. They are so great for getting new people into the hobby with their price. It doesn't take much to get a full-rounded setup going. A volca modular is an excellent addition I'd say, especially paired with volca drum. You can get the craziest experimental sounds!
