Spike has often been mentioned as the Fifth member of Queen. If you don't recognize him, he's that poor OTHER guy on the guitar the camera rarely gives attention too. He played Rhythm guitar and mostly Keyboards in every post 1986 live concert, and though some would say he peaked with Queen, he's still with them today. I like to think he's technically more of a member of Queen than lambert is, as he actually played with Freddy, I don't even know if Lambert was alive back then. I feel he's quite underrated. Even more so than John Deacon, as most people don't even know this guy played with them, now it's arguable if he's actually a full "member" of Queen, as he never wrote songs with them, and was simply never listed as such, but for me it's more just considering him such. All in all, he's quite the keyboard man, and it's a shame Queen didn't give him the full member treatment, but I suppose now that Freddy and John are gone now, that makes him member three now.

He was also with them on The Works Tour, played on The Magic Album and did tours / albums with both The Brian May Band and The Cross (Rogers band) in the 90's.

It’s amazing that this man went on from being in Dexys Midnight Runners, to joining Queen!

I would really appreciate if I could buy this radio Gaga combination somewhere. Would save me a couple of hours work. Great job.

Finally someone who uses the capabilities of the Kronos! Great video!

This video sold me on the Kronos 9 years ago. :) I've sold it again since because I needed money to update other studio gear and I was only using it as a master keyboard so most of it was wasted on me anyway.

Spike and Greg Hawkes are my favorite keyboardist. Like Jordan Rudes as well.

A bit like chuck Levelle being the secret sauce in the Stones Shows, this guy is gold, plus has to cover Johns keyboard parts also. 👏👏

As a veteran ESQ-1, M1 and Polysix (ab-)user, I'm liking this. Any plans for a softsynth Kronos?

Very interesting - especially seeing the natural slip up that all keyboardists make! (except Rudess)

Jupiter 8 and obx sound better for the job. But better sound isn't what he is after. This sounds ok in this short demo but listen to it all night at the concert like I have and you just might get listening fatigue. But I heard the same songs with the real analogs and remember how great it sounded so I am biased. I guess it doesn't matter to most people and that's cool.

I'm being unnecessarily anal about it, but at 3:30 he slips and at 7:10. I guess what I want to say is that even the best, professional musicians can make mistakes and it makes the demo feel more real..If anything, it makes Spike Edney seem more human.

They should use a V-Synth GT for their voicecorder effects. They are mind blowing great. The Kronos voicecorder just doesn't get it. The Kronos is great for everything else.
