Trust these two to make any RaGa a Candidate for obsession (When you miss RaGa Candid so much it shows up hidden in sentences :P) There is always a point after which you realise you need to listen all over again and bask in the pure music and this one has plenty of those to keep me from ever finishing listening to it! Thanks Raga sisters and your team for such lovely Rama Priya and Korinavara. Most of the very great report ire of songs in Karnatic music of various composers/ Abangs/ Bajans are available on the net for Rasikas to hear heartful and enjoy the bliss of carnatic music, with very good recording and clarity. Most of your future concert kritis will be mostly only from the set available on the net... the choice is so well spread on the net. Having said this you need not bother of not letting live streaming of your concert... if allow will only increase your image of magnanimity and good thoughts about your intentions and your intention to spread the great music. This will greatly enhance your image as best humans born on earth spreading such great spiritual music, This is my humble suggestion. I sincerely pray Sri Ram of Ayodhya/ Kapali of Myla pore bless such great voice of yours forever and help you spread such Great music for ever. And bring peace and so lance to your rasikas. Have listened "korina varamosagumayya kodandapaani' ( sung by Senior Vocalist Shobha Ramesh, a couple of years' back) a beautiful kriti of Patnam Subramanya Aiyyar in - Ramamanihari ( Dikshitar school) / Ramapriya /Sairamapriya. It is the 52nd Melakarta ragam , 4th one in the 9th chakra Brahma., wih notes.. S R₁ G₃ M₂ P D₂ N₂ Ṡ / Ṡ N₂ D₂ P M₂ G₃ R₁ S , actually a prati madhyamam equivalent of Chakravakam, which is the 16th Melakarta scale. Apart from this one- 'Korinavara mosagu' & 'Sri Rajarajeshwari ' another kriti by Patnam Subramania Iyer himself, other popular krities are....Saamodam Paripaalaya by Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma; "Sandehamunu deerpavayya" by Thyagarajasamy ; Smaramyaham sada rahum and Matangi Sri Rajarajeshwari by Muthuswami Dikshitar; and Mahadevamanisham by Dr.M. Balamuralikrishna. Here the sister duo ra-ga sisters presented a class recital....Superb raagalapana! L Ramakrishnan in Violin put forth an equally class playing in Violin. Presented a wonderful swaakalpana.....Lovely recital!

Ramapriya is such a beautiful raga that I'm sure Lord Rama must have loved it, especially coming from the RaGa sisters. It was such a great alapane by Ranjani akka♥️♥️ and absolutely loved the violin played by L Ramakrishnan sir. The kalpana swaras were soo lovely and amazing. Gayana Samaja Sabha has been a venue where I (actually, a lot of us) have had great memories regarding listening to a lot of stalwarts (mostly the both of you :)and getting inspired. I remember being thoroughly excited for each one of your concerts and waiting for that moment when the curtains rise and the soulful music is about to wash over each one of us (I also wait to see the colour combinations of your Sarees) Especially this Ramapriya, is like a soothing moonlight over these parched sands of quarantine... Mr Akshay is 100% Correct in his observation. Yes, we are made to listen to this Kriti again & again to enjoy the beauty of the Alapana, the kriti as well as the Swara rendition. Ra was in such a fine flow from the opening Alapana till the very end that nothing could have stopped her or distracted her concentration even by an inch. What I truly like & admire the most with your style of singing is both of you maintaining your voice range @ such a delicate level that invariably emits enviable Melody irrespective of the Raaga you choose to render. It's my humble opinion that this beautiful feature will definitely help a vocalist to sustain longevity of his / her career and I am too happy in that count that you are sure to keep enthralling us for many more years to come with your sustained performances and our delight will only grow manifold as you will pass on this style of singing to your students. So, we only hope, like GNB Paani, KVN Paani, etc., RaGa Paani will also rule the Carnatic Music arena soon. Because, the quality of virtuosity is also infectious and is sure to inspire your disciples too to carry on along with you sooner than later. This statement is not an exaggeration nor an exercise of flattering someone, but an unadulterated truth coming from my heart from what I have been consistently experiencing in your music. Enjoyed one more mellifluous rendition by both the Vocalists and the Violinist. I felt Ramakrishnan's bowing was quite attractive as he took the cue from Ra's painstaking nice Alabana and sketched it beautifully in his delineation as also in the Swara segment. (This rarely heard Raaga Ramapriya sounds a bit tricky to a layman like me as it seemed to shuttle between Poorvi Kalyani & Vachaspathi predominantly and rarely touching the shades of Chakravaaham in between; thus making it difficult for me to register in my mind its distinctive identity - like a few other Raagaas. Ok, it may be my perception.) Thanx a Lot for sharing with us one more Gem. 🙏🙏🙏
