KORMORAN Road Performance has stiffened shoulder zones to stabilize the track at higher speeds and cornering. This stiffening prevents the tire from "floating" with increased load. It is possible that some people feel "hardness" during use. The rubber compound in Road Performance has been enriched silica, which make rolling resistance lower and promotes proper behavior on wet surfaces, which make the ride smooth. However, you should remember that this is a typical summer tire and should be used in the right temperature range to fully reflect its performance.

Depends on your driving. They have a brilliant dry grip, with fantastic cornering. Not much feedback from them, so keep within their limits. They ARE very stiff, so if you are driving long distances, you soon tire of them. And speed humps & kerbs will be your enemy. If you want a tyre which feels & looks like a proper racing tyre, but is cheap, this is the one. But treat it as if you were on semi-slicks. For the right driver, and purpose, they are extremely good value for the money.

@@intercars165 Your reply seems to be a bit misleading for the average consumer. "Possible some people feel hardness" is the understatement of the day. Try a 215/40-17 @22.5 psi on a 1300 kg 50/50 car. Basically, going 25 mph over a manhole cover can destabilise the car. Some would say it feels like they are solid rubber. You are misrepresenting the use of silica. The silica hardens the compound. Hence the harder rubber has low rolling resistance, which is irrelevant for the average driver. The harder compound is resilient to thread wear. That is why the tyre will retain it's original water displacement properties for a longer time. It's a great value for the money tyre, they are not ditch finders, they are fun to drive, but the majority of users will find them hard, uncomfortable and noisy. I will purchase them again, but, please be honest in your descriptions.
