these are probably the lyrics the band came up with, then they changed them when they went in the studio to record. sometimes producers change up little things with the songs the band has when they go into record. they probably went into the studio and played this exact version and then brenadan obrien, who produced this album, said "hey guys it would sound better if you used this word here" etc..
