Great video Luke! All of your videos are top notch don’t be so harsh on yourself. I have been watching your videos and following along from the very beginning. To anyone thinking about purchasing Luke’s course management program or his pure swing program do it!! I have purchased both of them and they are 100% worth. This is great insight into what a normal day is for golfers that are trying to make the tour, most people don't spend enough time doing the little things like you said taking notes on all your miss tendencies, swing flaws, course management issues, etc... I know your videos will bring some light to whoever finds them and as someone who got injured and can't chase the dream anymore it's nice to watch the behind the scenes of someone else's process that is

That was the first proper workout that I've seen out of a golfer! That I've never been convinced that "sport specific" stuff with 10 lb weights, bosu balls, etc. does anything either. Compound movements, olympic lifts, and HIIT training are the way to go!

It's refreshing to see the BAD shots you hit while practicing . I'm a 4 hcp ..I love practicing , but I can get really negative and hard on myself when I hit bad shots practicing . Seeing a tour pro ...chunk a chip shot , or hitting double crosses ..I need to ease up on myself a bit . It's all part of the process !

Glad to see you made a full recovery (if I understood correctly) -- I got COVID back in early March 2020 (was living in NYC at the time) -- was deff not a "fun" 2 weeks so I'm glad you're ok after it. I agree. It's basically impossible to create engaging YT content at the same time as giving the full effort of prep needed to keep a Korn Ferry card or tour status. People "think" they will watch anything, but viewers really only stay around for well produced vids. They don't really know it's all a bit of "smoke and mirrors". It takes a ton of planning, editing, conceptualization to craft a well done youtube golf vid that is both fun to watch and seems likes it's just all "naturally" happening on screen. I say just do your best, stick up a camera once in a while but don't do anything that takes valuable energy away from your tournament prep, recovery and rest during the events themselves (so important). Get on the PGA Tour first, then you can hire the Golf Channel to make the full series. Just give us what you can and make golf actually pay the bills. Play well in 2021!
@LukeKwonGolf3 жыл бұрын
Luckily mine basically just felt like the common cold plus the loss of taste! So wasnt too bad. And yeah definitely, since I know the process of making videos you can kinda see thru the “natural/freestyling” of videos and that theres more to it than that lol. But I’ll give it a go and see what I can do here in a few weeks during tournament weeks while not even coming close to hindering my golf 👍

Loved the video one thing I think you should look into is not using split grip when deadlifting it's just another thing thats going to add to muscle imbalance. With golf already using your right arm more dominantly it's just making it more likely to add injury.

Definitely more videos like this! Real quick, in the footy of you hitting some range swings, we’re you working on downhinging on the downswing? I’d be interested to see your thoughts on that. It’s something I wasn’t doing early on as a beginner, but ever since I learned about it and have been trying to feel it, I’ve been hitting the ball better and consistently.

Hi Luke, great video and was enjoying watching the short game practice, would you do a video showing your technique on pitching? Also set up to be patron, good luck bro
@LukeKwonGolf3 жыл бұрын
Trying to think what I think about for short game technique wise but I cant really put it into words lol its honestly like just a mini version of the full swing but also just not being afraid to make some contact with the ground with some conviction. Alot of it is messing around with getting the face opened up and hitting high shots and hitting low shots with the ball back and just playing a buncha random shots. Thanks again for becoming a patron dave!
@davebell63633 жыл бұрын
@@LukeKwonGolf that helps cheers Luke, using the bounce is something I need to work on. Also I tend to take it too far back and de accelarate! I can hit a long ball but pitching suffers... your rhythm looked so nice on those pitches!
@LukeKwonGolf3 жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely, using bounce is important forsure! But also depends on how the ground is, if its firm then its really easy almost impossible to not use the bounce. If its soft then it’ll be really hard. You also dont wanna use the bounce so much that the leading edge is lifted too much off the ground as well
