kalvan5 Thats great that you like it. Unforntuely for me, this is korns most boring album. This album has no build up or structure. Songs feel out of place, songs all sound the same, they feel unfinished, annoying riffs and forced non-emotional vocals fron jon. Ray is a nice addition to the band, i really dig him but his drumming in this one is boring and dull. It did not fit this re atempt of pre FTL korn era style album. Also jons vocals didnt fit either. That missing uniqe sound from Head was absent and munky played some not so good riffs in some songs. This album lacks passion and effort like previous albums, even Syotos and untitled you can feel effort and emotion. This feels like an album that was made to be like "Hey we are still Korn and we got to make another atempt at bringing back are old style to stay revelent and not sell out". This album was a great idea, but wrong time.

Well, after all, they did make the mistake of recruiting Ross Robinson as producer. He's the reason it came out so forced. He would yell at Ray during recording for not drumming as he liked, so it's not exactly Ray's fault that the drumming's not his best on this album. If Head did return at this point it woulda had more hype and would be much better. I guess at this point KoRn was still trying to find themselves as a band since this was the 2nd time they became a 4-piece. Thankfully, it's all done and over with, and makes the following albums, that much more appreciable.

They're a genre of Nu Metal, they pretty much invented it, or they did. Nu Metal combines the sounds of Metal and Hip-hop. Like, for example, the songs from their 3rd album Follow the Leader portrays this the most. Without them, there'd be no bands like Disturbed or Linkin Park, etc. So yeah.

Actually my friend I'm sorry but your obvious clueless as to who KoRn is. KoRn is much more then just a band there the fathers of nu-metal and they had a long, hard, sad, rode getting there. That along with the davids rhythmic drums and the Deftones use of turntables originally not with a hiphop delivery like say DJ Lethal with scratching but used more to provide soundscapes to give their songs atmospheric sound.
