This song was on The Crow soundtrack & it started off as an instrumental Korn would play during their soundchecks. Sean Olson who did band duties for both Korn & Deftones would always want them to play it & maybe write some lyrics for it... That all happened & so they named the song after Sean Olson.

Yup. So non commercial. So much infact, that we don't even speak about the fact that they uh... Uh... Literally clogged up a street because they decided to ride in a tank. Or.. or... Pulling in a crazy ass crowd of teenagers in NYC when they went for an interview. Yeah, wow. So non commercial 👌🤣

In a 2010 interview with ARTISTdirect, frontman Jonathan Davis said: Sean Olson used to work for us. He was my tweaker buddy. He was just this funny ass character. The intro of the song is “What’s your lie?” He would always come up to me and say, “What’s your lie?” [Laughs] He hung out with us for a while. It’s hard going back and trying to remember what I was actually thinking at that time, but I know it was about Sean and I delving into that meth-induced, dark place. It really came out in that song.

I read somewhere that this song was titled as "Sean Olson" because he was Jonathan's friend. He did some drugs with him, bad trips which lead him to write these dark lyrics. The song itself is not about Sean Olson but rather about Jonathan's life.
