Oh my f-ing god...! This is by far the best cover of a Korn song I ever heard. And I’ve listened to so many Korn covers in my life, especially from the Issues album. Because it’s in my opinion one of their best albums. Violet, your cover of ‘Trash’ truly hit me right in my blackened heart, and I felt how your powerful voice really shook my soul. If music doesn’t makes me feel anything special, it’s pretty meaningless to me. But this... it made me cry a f-ing river of tears. Please, don’t it the wrong way. This cover helped me cry today, and I really needed that. And I listened to both ‘Untouchables’ and ‘Issues’, both albums back to back a lot yesterday. But I think I was so bottled up inside with negative thoughts, brutal anxiety and horrible memories from my childhood that completely filled my mind on Christmas Eve. On each Christmas every year, I either work all day and all night. Or if I’m free from work, I isolate myself from everyone I know and make myself pass out from either prescription sedatives or alcohol. (Yeah, sounds pretty depressing, I know.) But each Christmas all those horrible memories comes back to haunt me. This day, I woke up from the sound of my best friend banging on my door and screaming my name. I heard by sound of his voice that he was so friggin’ terrified that I would not answer. (I never ever heard him sound that scared ever before.) So, I rushed out of bed and called out “Yeah bro, I’m awake and alive.” I open up the door to my flat, and see that he had tears in his eyes and said to me; ”F*** man, I thought you were dead. No one was able to get ahold of you for like two f-ing days. I love you bro, I can’t lose you too.” After that we listened to metal music all day, but I felt so damn numb from the day before. And it was not until I heard your cover of ‘Trash’ I finally could crack up and felt my tears started ruining down my cheeks.
