Depends. Some apartments actually have some soundproofing depending on the age of the apartment and who made it. But I would imagine that a Vtuber would try to soundproof their room themselves. It is not as good as in wall soundproofing but it is a great start to avoiding complaints from the neighbors.

It has online multiplayer (you don't have to do the race when doing multiplayer) but it's not quite the same as offline. Effectively you are just playing the same stage simultaneously with the other player able to work as a soft revive point whereas offline, you share resources and the screen centers around the group.

They're so close to getting a good online co-op experience but they haven't figured out how to make it not too chaotic and laggy. I was surprised at how much fun it is having random players help you while they're beating the same level in their own session and vice versa, and it seems like there's a fast enough sync between players that you can react to each other without much delay. I guess keeping the one level synced up to everybody's session is where they probably don't know how to make it not lag like crazy with 4 players, so they implemented the ghost racing thing as a half-measure.
