I was wondering how some HoloMems would react to this fight, and Ko'one didn't disappoint. One thing I will give Game Freak, they absolutely nailed a lot of the characters in Scarlet/Violet, especially the gym leaders. The fact that they have someone drop a "dono" in the middle of this gym leader fight, and the gym leader stop mid-speech to thank them, shows that they understand the concept of "streamer" beyond just having them be genki and say "please like and subscribe".

@@odakidakida9193 Yeah I find the choice to do the whole 'you can do what you want, go where you want, engage the gyms in any order' and then proceed to *still* link the gyms to the badges needed to get pokemon to obey you AND have nothing else scale with level...which is how it should work in this type of game. So basically whilst you CAN complete everything else without doing the gyms (RT gaming proved that it's possible) and doing all the side quests whilst having pokemon who disobey you constantly, it's in no way a smooth experience. It's like they *know* about western style open world games but don't get *get* how they work.

@@luketfer OK, first of all: obedience is only tied to the level you captured the pokemon, you can level a pokemon caught at low level to 100 and it will still obey you even with no gym badges. Second: I will never understand why would you want the game to scale, what is the point of grinding, one of the most crucial parts of any rpg, if everything gonna be scaled to you? I am gonna be frank, scaling in an rpg, even more a turn based rpg is just dumb and kills the point of the game having a leveling. Why level your pokemon if you gonna have the same challenge doing it at lvl 20 or lvl 90?

Love the part where Korone tries to copy the crowd's "Woah!" during the terastallize finale. I know Galar did that crowd part of the Gym theme first and the Paldean battles aren't in stadiums, I like the Paldea version more because it actually makes the battle more thrilling. And the dialogue they did for Iono of shamelessly hoping to go viral is perfect, they absolutely nailed the streamer role. The Paldea Gym leader lineup is the chef's kiss

I did that one some of my last playthroughs of being able to play Mega Man 8 again somehow, going with my usual order where the next boss would be weak to the skill I just learned from the previous boss, like Bomb Man to Frost Man or whatever, but than... never using it unless I had to. :p And it was really fun and not too hard at all until Search Man who was challenging but fair, and than... I cheated for Astro Man though and used the missiles, I hate him and the Dr. Wily Stage 1 penguin thing, LOL. XD Most of the game is pretty easy though... :p Although I think... Dr. Wily himself is admittedly hard because he has two forms and stuff and therefor like twice as much health as you, among other things. :? Takes a while, but I do usually beat this MM at least. :p Sigh... yeah, challenges, huh. :? Fun stuff, but I only ever got around to so many to do, but oh well I guess. :p
