As a teen Christian my advice to you is to die to your flesh that voice that tells you to do the opposite of getting closer to God send it back to hell in Jesus name. God wants more for you but you have to desire him more, don’t go back to the same old habits or actions. Don’t seek validation from others, don’t try and fit into a world that were not made to fit into to. The lord is with you. Lay all ur burdens on him he wants you to give him all your pain, all your tears, all your heart ache, and build that relationship with him. Just talk to him how you would talk to your friends, and worship him. Something that helps feel his presence is worshipping and then saying holy holy holy over and over until he is ALL. Koryn, this song made me cry. A lot of tears were on my face. there was this one time that I blamed it on my own sister for being perfect and all that and I knew l was gonna end my life.... forever. The enemy started telling me bad things and I'm nothing. I really thought it was true and it literally broke my heart trying to see my family suffering like this. But I had to get a knife just to kill myself. Because I tried so so hard to be good enough for my parents, But no matter how hard I try, It never worked at all. But when I started coming to this song one last time, I felt the Heavenly Father comfort me from all of my mistakes. Thank you so much, Koryn. For writing this song . "I was made to search the deep". That line hit me. Hard. In that moment I understood how the ocean represents God's nature. In our relationship with God, there is a lot we are yet to explore; we don't fully understand God. Just like we know only 5% of the ocean. As we go deeper, it gets darker, more vast and you understand how small you are and it's just you and God. You are forced to trust Him. You never know what you'll find... just like in your relationship with God.
