This song was written by my Mother Ngangatu Fifita for our father Fetaiaki Fifita. It is a very special and dear song to our family. I am happy to hear that it also has a special place in your heart and it was written to touch other's too. And to be sung. It describes the hardship my Mother and my family went through with our father who struggled with mental illness for many years... and it was her faith in God that kept us going. I wish to ask when you sing this song can you please have respect and take note that the song is not to be sung this way - and the music is not correct either. Many times Ngangatu has heard her song sung and most times those who sing it are not appreciative of how it is meant to be sung. It is also COPY RIGHT! I wish to ask if you wish to sing this song do so but please get in contact with me or the actual Composer and we can assist with how this song is meant to be sung. PS: Upon the death of my father Fetaiaki Fifita in 2010 Ngangatu has completed the last verse of this song.
