Can You Use QUANTUM Rudders for Space Propulsion?

Today I wanted to see if the NEW quantum rudder can actually be used to propel a ship through space! The new Trailmakers Spacebound update brings lots of cool new parts and thus new ideas and I am excited to dive further into it. The hoverpads were infinitely lifting you up because they were above another block. To hover correctly, the hoverpads need to be the bottom-most blocks.

I think the reason this setup, generates movement is because the "rotors" are trying to spin the craft, BUT since every rotor has another rotor countering its rotational movement, essentially instead of completely cancelling it transforms into Linear motion (idk why or how, it makes no sense, but it looks like thats what's happening); so the power of the setup is essentially the Torque generated by the rotor with the craft's CG, the greater the arm from the CG the greater the Torque, more Torque = more power = better Power/Drag ratio = higher speed

I'm guessing the distance has to do with the moment of force generated by the rudders, the further away the greater the torque

This reminds me more of a tug boat than anything else. Something slow but powerful in order to move larger ships around.

try also turning them 90º and having 4. then you'd be pushing trough 2 planes in the same direction, might just double the speed or don't change anything.

This is really interesting. I'm curious if there is a top speed possible for the quantum drive and wonder what spacing from each other they need to be. I also wonder if you could make the quantum drive engine into different shapes. (Triangle, circle, pentagon, hexagon...and get different speeds.) Is rectangular really the best shape? Would love to see a follow up of this where you try more designs and testing.

The light shows created by this experimentation are very interesting... and educational about the function of the quantum rudder. And just before the 7 minute mark, Kosmo builds a quantum elevator (and I don't mean the airplane part).
