... Why are Air Force pilots flying a Navy aircraft? Shouldn't they be using Raptors, or at the least Eagles or Falcons?

In universe explanation: The HAWX group has special access to planes of all types and receives special training on all aspects of air combat. Out of universe explanation: It makes the game more fun with custom options to choose from when flying.
