My first red dot was a first gen Sightmark reflex that was 29.99. The actual dot wasn't perfectly round but it worked, stayed zero and its still in my gun tool box.

The ADE Red dots are very well built also and they are sub $80, I would put the $80 ADE sights up against the Venom Vortex or Burris Check out these 3: Ade RD3-013 Bertrillium Ade RD3-015 Zantitium Ade RD3-011-1 Avenger

I bought my first ar15 yesterday. Thinking bout a red dot site. It's a dpms tactical. 16 inch barrel. Read reviews, but is it a good rifle? Feel like I got a good deal on it, 640 bucks.
@nicholasfernandez77206 жыл бұрын
a rifle is a rifle only you can say its your rifle and only you can say its a good one. as for a red dot sight... this could work, but if you are on a terrible budget id recommend a primary arms red dot (i dont know the exact name, but it looks like an aimpoint t1) if you had the money, id recommend an aimpoint t2, a trijicon ta 44 with the acss (advanced combat sighting system) reticle, or even an eotech sush as an exps3 mod o. another adition i add to my general purposes rifles is a light. cheapest light that id go with is a streamlight protac rail mounted light... though a surefire light would probably be your best bet. hope this helps! good luck with your ar

Congratulations on your AR. For a red dot, Nicholas' recommendation is perfect. Primary Arms makes the best red dot for the price range. Primary Arms sometimes have random sales or package deals that throw in an upgraded mount for cheap, if you can catch it. For slightly less, there are optics from SIG and Vortex on Amazon or optics planet. If you're looking for an around a $100 red dot, there's an AT3/Bushnell Micro style for $80 with your choice of mount height. My neighbor bought the Bushnell and said it was decent so I picked up the AT3 model and put it on my AR pistol. It's held it's zero so far but it's an $80 red dot, so I don't expect it to survive a solid drop on concrete. It's probably better suited for Airsoft. In my personal opinion, if you only have one rifle, it'd be worth it to get an Aimpoint ACO for around $400 with mount, or the Trijicon MRO for slightly more.

You can get a run of the mill ar 15 like that for cheaper
@markcoffman95225 жыл бұрын
Congrats on the new family member. DPMS make a good mil-spec rifle, and the price paid is about right. Nice thing is all the time and money you can spend upgrading it the way you want it, not how some Youboober says you have to have it. It's a great time to own an AR cuz of all the options. Shoot safe, have fun!

What makes this M-Spec? Do you think it's any tougher than a Burris Fastfire or Vortex Venom?
@dylanwatkins10196 жыл бұрын
Is it's footprint of its own design or is it the same pattern as the RMR or vortex venom?
@calangel4 жыл бұрын
@Rodie ICT that's good to know. If I purchase it, can I place it on a slide cut for the venom/viper with the screws included with the Sightmark?

Pretty cool, I'd like to see it on a pistol, is the morning pattern proprietary or same as others?

same as previous Sightmark footprint but will also fit Docter mounts too.

At the price point, a Burris FastFire would be my first choice... Even if paying more for a QD mount and riser... ...and you can bet your ass sightmark sent you the best one ever made. I bet if you bought 5 off the shelf, you'd run into problems in at least one of them. It's the nature of sightmark.
