A review of the Netflix anime Kotaro Lives Alone. The show is getting big scores on anime review sites, but does it live up to all the hype? This video looks at why Kotaro Lives Alone has become a surprise hit, but also looks critically at some of its stumbles.
If you want a show that's a little out of the ordinary and that explores themes you might not see in a lot of Western media, then Kotaro is a breath of fresh air. It's not all cute anime weirdness: Kotaro can get surprisingly dark out of nowhere, and there are scenes of emotional abuse that are not suited for all viewers. But the show is at least worth a look into the first few episodes--and you might end up binging the whole thing.

Sounds like a good watch. I gave up Netflix but once I give them money for the next batch of stone ocean episodes I'll swing by this one

Good review! I loved KLA. The striking part of its success is how it uses music to convey deep emotions. Kotaro singing a capella alone to his bandaged knees was something I’ve never seen in anime- painfully sweet.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
