I agree, he has so many unique abilities, easy for a human to identify with and be mystified at!! I first met Kotaro when he and Hana visited with Captain Aty and Otterman, and when I saw his face he reminded me of Musashi as played by the actor in the tv series...I feel lucky I got to see it as I'm in the US, so Kotaro is easier than some for me to recognize right away. I just read an article last week that the Oriental short claw otters like Kotaro, Hana & Aty communicate with 12 unique "squeaks & calls" that otter families know how to respond accordingly if a member needs help w/ something, is hurt or if they just want to "talk". I'm 53 & until I fell absolutely in love with these intelligent beauties I knew very LITTLE about otters. .. P.S. I also found out to buy a legitimate registered Oriental short clawed runs 1.6 MILLON Japanese Yen..which in U.S dollars equals....HOLD ON TO YOUR SEAT....😲🤯...... $14,806‼️..NOW, Would I pay that for each otter?? DAmN RIGHT I WOULD! I'd rather own a loving, intelligent otter "child" any day over say a sevral year old car, entertainment item or something comparable that could break; malfunction; blow-up or self destruct. These gentile little stinkers live well into their teens like cats do. What a precious gift God provided us.🐻(closest emoji to an otter)

Kotaro has totally unique facial expressions that make him appear like "Oscar the Grouch" but meanwhile, he's 110% happy, content and soooo LOVING. His expression when he "dances" with sprayed water from a spigot or spray gun is just PRICELESS..I swear all 4 of them (Kotaro, Hana, Aty & Ui) BELONG ON THEIR OWN REALITY TV SHOW..millions around the planet would go ape-sh*t over their WHOLESOME FROLICS & ADVENTURES..I think both owners should come up with a proposal & somehow submit it to local Japanese stations...I assume in Japan they have National Geographic channel or "Animal Planet" network since real world animal programs are EXTREMELY POPULAR. ( I mean if "Incredible Dr Pol" is still on our"Nat-Geo Wild" network after a decade of showing VERY repetitive content 🙄, than why can't 4 totally unique & highly intelligent OTTERS have their own adventures program.... Too many people appease their children/significant other when they want to own any exotic animal, only to live the nightmare of animal neglect/abuse in the future when the "newness" of the Animal wears off or they become bored with them.😢 This very thing happened with Dalmatian puppies after Disney re-released "101 Dalmatians".. everyone including many adults thought they were SO easy to own & required no time, Effort & energy to keep the dogs living long healthy lives. ( I use them as an example since I was a devoted mama 14yrs to 2 very dear & loving mother & daughter Dals. Then, many years later mama to the most precious ex-racing Greyhound you'd ever want to breathe the same air with.) Animals bring millions of owners 100% UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, that many people sad to say DON'T DESERVE. WE HERE just totally enjoy seeing these sweet & super intelligent otters thrive don't we❓😊
