Arguably the best new-comer of the past year, Shotty Horroh has been traveling the globe making sure that his name is known. The silver lining of his failed Lab Battles venture was a popular battle with Dizaster which first put Shotty's name into people's heads. In the past 8 months, Shotty has been on an unparalleled warpath, building on his momentum. After a stellar performance in King of the Dot against World Domination 3 opponent Fingaz, Shotty returned home to England to take part in his biggest match up to date against Arsonal. So impressed with Shotty's performance was Arsonal that he invited the Brit to come overseas an battle in his UW league, where his match against Daylyt was hailed as a classic. With a resume that includes other top tier names such as Pat Stay and an upcoming battle with Math Hoffa, Shotty has appeared to have achieved top tier status and shows no signs of giving up his spot at the top.
One of the few true veterans of the battle game that still poses a legitimate threat to anybody foolish enough to step up against him, Ness Lee may be less interested in battling now than he was before, but he still has the wherewithal to show the new generation a thing or two. Representing the ATL, Ness has used his career as a personal crusade to disprove those that believe the South is incapable of actual lyricism. One of the most complex lyricists in the game, Ness is able to weave schemes with such intricate detail that people often have trouble following his verses on this first viewing. On a recent upswing, Ness battled fellow legend The Saurus in what was one of the best battles of 2012. Other names on Ness' hit list include Marv Won, Real Deal, Loe Pesci and Illmaculate. One of the most seasoned battlers in the circuit today, Ness steps up against heavy hitting newcomer Shotty Horroh, looking to knock him down a few pegs.

if theres one thing british rappers are good at it's personals. they always seem to get into their opponent at lot more than american battlers and most of canadians too. they have issues with stage presence and crowd control tho, in the majority of battles they get dwarfed by other rappers because delivery>writing in americas but in britain it's writing>delivery because generic gun bars aint working. british battlers bring heat specifically for their opponents but a lot of bars american rappers use could be applied to anyone in the world so it makes their writing seem lazy. this battle 2-1 shotty, shotty HAS to take the second because of the choke and he probably takes the first for me as well, had some funny schemes but the crowd was fucked, he did well to continue through the issues with lighting and shit as well (the lights went out in his first but he carried on even though the crowd was distracted and things were a bit against him init) Ness took the third, It was a close battle but ness choked badly, no recovering from that imo. No rapper should take the W after a fuck up that bad, would have loved to see this match up done with a better crowd and better preperation. Judges fucked up imo. can see why people could give it 2-1 ness lee though, if your into his style then he'll edge both round 1 & 3,

respect to ness for saying the win for shotty. first time i watched i gave it to shotty. then i listened to the comments of both mc's and judges. so i decided to watch again and this time ness was in my favor. but after watching again...ness did throw a damn good rap battle but i couldnt shake shotty's technique, style, in depth personal realization, and stage performance...let alone his mastermind of spittin lyrics that always gets the crowd hipe. i have to say shotty just slitely over ness. i dont even count the choke. shotty 2-1. i would say ness won the second round.

Ness Lee won round 1 and 3. Respect him still for forfeiting, tho. Even though he won, he feels its not deserved for the fact that he choked for 30 secs. BTW, this goes to all new battle fans, calling people dickriders just cuz you differ opinion(except if their a clear hater who's sole reason for being there is to hate), grow up. Here's some good advice: delve into battle rap, both old and new, immerse yourself in it, try to break down the bars in your head or have other fellow KZbinrs help you. Usually crowd reaction is truthful, but recent videos the crowd is generally biased, so you have to filter thru that. Then you will know the real winners from the ones who only have wins because of outside influences.

Neither of them won by a mile guys, you're deluded if you say its so. I'm British so people probably expect me to give it to Shotty but I must say having never come across this dude Ness Lee before I thought his bars and wordplay outdid Shotty here, while Shotty had some more "impactful" (not a word, I know) schemes. BUT as Ness says himself at the end if you follow battling you HAVE to know that a choke is an autoloss. He kept it MAD real in that interview at the end so if you clicked once the battle finished its worth listening to. Respect from UK. EDIT: I think the last judge was on point with what he said about the crowd too, but I have to disagree with him giving the first round by "default". If you didn't hear both guys' bars you can't judge the round period. Shoulda given it to neither of them IMO.
